About

Description

Tired of being helplessly stuck in pesky cobwebs?

Web Walker introduces a new enchantment for boots that helps you push through them a bit faster, reducing the frustration without completely removing the challenge.

This enchantment has three levels, each offering a small boost to your movement. Even at the highest level, cobwebs will still slow you down, preserving their primary function in caves and mineshafts.

This mod comes in two main versions, designed for different gameplay experiences:

🔹 Treasure Version

This version is specifically balanced for RPG and adventure modpacks, where spiders and their webs pose a significant threat. In packs with numerous or difficult enemies, getting caught in a cobweb while surrounded is often a death sentence.

Web Walker is designed to provide a crucial layer of survivability in these moments. It gives you just enough mobility to fight back or escape, preventing you from being completely immobilized and easily killed when swarmed. To ensure it isn't an accessible, early-game solution and remains a coveted prize, this version of the enchantment is a rare Treasure Enchantment. This means it cannot be obtained from an enchanting table. You must find it by:

  • Looting chests in Dungeons, Mineshafts, and other structures.
  • Fishing for treasure.
  • Trading with Librarian villagers.

🔸 Enchanting Table Version

In this version, you will be able to obtain Web Walker directly from the Enchanting Table, making it more accessible for different types of modpacks.

Mod Compatibility

Web Walker is designed to be as compatible as possible and will work with any cobweb-like blocks that are correctly tagged. It is compatible with cobwebs from the following mods:

  • Chipped
  • Born in Chaos
  • Blue Skies

If you find a modded cobweb that isn't working, please let me know in the comments!

FAQ

Q: Does this work with modded boots? A: Yes! It should work with any item that is properly coded as boots, from vanilla or other mods.

Q: Is it compatible with Soul Speed? A: Yes, you can have both Web Walker and Soul Speed on the same pair of boots.

Q: What enchantments is it incompatible with? A: Web Walker cannot be combined with Frost Walker or Depth Strider, as they are all special movement enchantments for boots.
