About
Description
Welcome to the Getaway is a content mod that, instead of expanding or revamping existing overworld features, branches off with a brand new dimension named The Getaway. In this dimension, you can expect to find biomes, new blocks, mobs, and much more innovative content that is completely separate from vanilla minecraft. It is (or at least aims to be) a vanilla+ mod, meaning all of the textures and features are meant to mimic something professional that the mojang team could realistically add, or at least be adjacent to. This mod is still in development, and I plan to add many more features to the Getaway dimension. Keep in mind I'm a one man army, and long hiatuses before updates do not mean I have abandoned the mod. I won't unless I lose the file, and if that happens I will explicitely state that updates are ceasing.

THE GETAWAY
The Getaway is a completely cave-bound dimension, similar to nether but without any source of fluid. It features hanging Lamplight Vines that grow Lampfruits. Lampfruits serve as not only the main source of light for the Getaway, but also as currently the only way to get to the dimension from the Overworld.
HOW TO GET THERE
If you find a Wandering Trader and are lucky enough for it to have Getaway Grass Block in store, you can buy it off of him for 7 Emeralds. From then on, you can place the block anywhere you want. If you bone meal a Getaway Grass Block, aside from the regular grass bone meal effect, the block you clicked will always generate a Groveoak Sapling. If you wait for the sapling to grow, or if you simply bonemeal it, it will grow into a Groveoak tree. Groveoak trees naturally generate with hanging Lamplight vines, and if you pick their Lampfruits and eat them, you will find a surprise waiting for you on the other side. This method is a little scuffed, as there currently is a chance of the player being teleported to inside a wall in the Getaway, but that method will be revised. Until then, make sure to bring a pickaxe with you.
CONTENT OF THE GETAWAY
As of the first official Beta, the Getaway dimension is still rough and not yet the finished product. So far, the only three biomes are the Getaway Groves, the Cavernous Forest, and the Vibrant Valley. The Getaway Grove is the main biome, featuring an open field with many of the dimension's flora like the spinning Windmill Flower and the hanging Lamplight Vines. The Cavernous Forest is the biggest forest biome, featuring Groveoak trees and Grove Litter. And the Vibrant Valley, which features the green Domnii trees and Vibrant Flora.
PLANS FOR THE FUTURE
What will be added in the future updates for Welcome to the Getaway? And most importantly, what will be in the 1.0.0 version? Well, I plan to add many structures relating to the origin of the dimension and the Buddies, ancient dungeons, and even bosses to add challenge, goals and rewards to the Getaway. I don't want this dimension to be just a place to collect exclusive blocks and decorate your base, but as of the first Beta that is pretty much all there is to it. I am open to suggestions on what to add, so if you have any requests you can send it in any other modding platforms that have a comments section, or reach out to me on discord, my user is sr_steve404. Also please use this if you find any bugs so that I can fix them later.
