📖 About:
What Lurks Between transforms Minecraft into a psychological horror experience. While VeroxLib handles the technical Sanity and Attribute logic, this mod brings the nightmare to life with new biomes, terrifying mobs, and deep survival mechanics.
The Sanity System (Powered by VeroxLib)
- Mental Decay: Your mind breaks in the dark, deep underwater, or near eldritch monsters.
- Attributes: Use specialized armor to boost your Sanity Resistance (take less damage) and Sanity Regeneration (recover faster in light).
- Corruption: The more corrupted you are, the faster your sanity drains. Be careful!
Mod Features
- New Biomes & Mobs: Explore haunting new locations filled with Lovecraft-inspired creatures that don't just hunt your body, but your mind.
- Sanity-Based Crafting: Some powerful items and rituals require you to sacrifice your sanity or reach specific mental states to be crafted.
- Eldritch Gear: Craft specialized suits like Diving Gear or Cultist Robes to survive the abyss and the darkness.
- Absolute Darkness: If your sanity hits zero, you become a source of darkness itself, extinguishing all nearby lights.
The Choice
Will you stay in the light to keep your grip on reality, or dive into the forbidden powers of the abyss to unlock its secrets?

📃 Upcoming Features (in Development):
The abyss is growing. Here is what you can expect in future updates:
New Biomes & World Changes
- The Whispering Mire: A swamp shrouded in thick, supernatural fog. Your view is limited to 5 blocks, and you can feel eyes watching you from the gloom.
- The Sinking Abyss: Deep water is no longer just dark - it’s alive. Reaching the depths will drain your sanity as the pressure of the unknown weighs on you.
- The Petrified Plateau: A silent highland where the ground "bleeds" when broken.
The Unspeakable Creatures
- The Shadow: A 0-Sanity silhouette. It won't hurt you physically, but it will never stop following you.
- The Mire Sludge: A trap-based entity in the swamps that pins you down while feasting on your sanity.
- The Drowned Watcher: A pale aquatic entity whose gaze turns your oxygen into pure terror.
... and many more!
Eldritch Crafting & Fishing
- The Eldritch Altar: Sacrifice your own sanity to forge items that shouldn't exist.
- Madness Fishing: Casting your line while insane might pull up "Impossible Loot," such as statues that whisper to you or Void-Bottles.
