Wither Sickness Bridge

Wither Sickness Bridge is a compatibility datapack for Minecraft 1.20.1 that connects additional Wither-based effects to the Wither Sickness system from Cracker's Wither Storm Mod.

The goal is to make Wither Sickness conversions work in more situations instead of being limited to CWSM's normal infection methods.

What It Does

This datapack bridges:

  • Vanilla Minecraft Wither
  • Light Weight Wither Storm's Wither Sickness
  • Cracker's Wither Storm Mod's Wither Sickness system

When the appropriate effect is detected, the datapack uses CWSM's own sickness/infection system so CWSM can handle the mob conversion.

Designed to Work With All Mobs Can Be Sick Now

This datapack works especially well with my All Mobs Can Be Sick Now datapack.

Wither Sickness Bridge does not replace or copy the conversions from All Mobs Can Be Sick Now.

Instead, the two datapacks have separate jobs:

Wither Sickness Bridge handles getting mobs into CWSM's sickness system.

All Mobs Can Be Sick Now adds additional sickened conversion possibilities for mobs that normally don't have their own CWSM sickened variant.

Using both gives you the full experience.

  • Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.1
  • Forge
  • Cracker's Wither Storm Mod
  • Light Weight Wither Storm
  • OpenLoader is recommended for automatically loading the datapack.

All Mobs Can Be Sick Now

This allows many more mobs to participate in the sickened conversion system.

Compatibility

This datapack is designed specifically as a compatibility addon. It uses CWSM's existing sickness system instead of adding a completely separate sickened-mob system.

That means CWSM remains responsible for the actual infection and conversion behavior.
