Wolfpack

A howl in the dark means something has already decided you are their meal.

Wolfpack adds hunting packs of feral wolves to the overworld. They spawn out of sight, announce themselves with a distant howl, and then do something ordinary mobs never do: they hunt you properly. A pack spreads into a ring around you and holds — the wolves in front hang back, the ones behind close in, and one at a time they dart in to test you. When enough of them are in position, they commit from every side at once.

Running doesn't always work. They track by scent over hundreds blocks, and breaking line of sight means nothing. Fight well to thin them out — drop enough and the survivors stop charging and switch their tactics. Kill enough of them and they flee. If you can't take them in a fight, your best option is to flee to civilization. Wolves are wary of player bases and villages! Otherwise, survive until sunrise, they're nocturnal!  

On a full moon they spawn far more often, in larger numbers, with double the health and double the damage!

Fully configurable: spawn rates, pack size, stats, tactics, and tracking behavior. No dependencies.
