Description

🌍 WorldLimit – Dimension Access Restriction Mod

WorldLimit is a powerful server-side Fabric mod that allows you to restrict player access to specific dimensions based on configurable progression requirements.

Use it to gate high-level worlds like The End, Twilight Forest, or Eden Ring behind XP, PlayerEX level, or (soon) item-based milestones. Perfect for RPG servers, MMO experiences, or story-driven modpacks.

🔐 Key Features

  • Block World Access
Stop players from entering configured dimensions unless they meet defined requirements.

  • Custom Requirements (Per World)

  • Smart Teleport Detection
Cancels dimension changes from portals, commands, or modded mechanics.

  • Safe Teleport Fallback
Sends unauthorized players back to their last known safe location.

  • Portal Pushback
Pushes players away from custom portal blocks if entry is denied.

  • Permission Support
Bypass restrictions with permissions or operator status.

  • Hot Reloading
Modify config files and apply changes instantly with /worldlimit reload.

⚙️ Configuration

All configs are stored in:

config/WorldLimit/

  • worldlimit_config.jsonc – Define world access requirements
  • portal_blocks.json – Define portal blocks to watch

🧪 Compatibility

  • ✔ Server-side only (no client required)
  • ✔ Works with PlayerEX: Director’s Cut
  • 🔧 More integrations coming soon

💡 Use Cases

  • Lock The End until players reach level 50
  • Gate Twilight Forest behind XP and item collection
  • Prevent early access to modded dimensions
  • Create tiered progression for RPG servers

🔮 Upcoming Features

  • Mob kill requirements
  • Item + NBT checks
  • Timed unlocks (playtime-based)
  • GUI warnings and feedback
