Description
#XP TONIC
XP boost effect is now implemented. Drinking Potion of XP Boost and every point of experience you gain is multiplied — mob kills, ore, furnaces, fishing, breeding, villager trades.
Three standards
| Duration | Multiplier | Share of drops | |
|---|---|---|---|
| XP Boost | 8:00 | ×5 | 60% |
| XP Boost II | 8:00 | ×6 | 25% |
| XP Boost + | 20:00 | ×5 | 15% |
Getting one
- Hostile mob killing
- **Rare vanilla drop ** — The drop uses vanilla's own rare-drop rate — 2.5%, plus one percentage point per level of Looting (max 5.5% with Looting III). Same numbers behind a zombie's iron ingot.
- Rewarding — There is no recipe and no brewing stand.
What it will not do
- Stacking multiplier - Drinking a second bottle refreshes the timer instead of stacking the multiplier, exactly as vanilla potions behave.
Compatibility
Works on NeoForge and Fabric, for Minecraft 1.21.1 and 26.2. Required on both the client and the server.
Fabric builds require Fabric API.
Nothing is hardcoded to specific mobs: any hostile creature from any mod can drop the potion, and the doMobLoot game rule is respected.
