Yakisugi

Yakisugi is a Japanese-inspired mod that adds many traditional blocks, items, and weapons made to blend with vanilla Minecraft.

Place wooden planks around a campfire to make charred wood using the yakisugi technique. Decorate your base with shoji screens, shoji doors, tatami blocks, and much more. Equip yourself with a straw hat, a straw mino, and straw boots. Craft weapons like katanas and shurikens.

Feel free to add it to your modpacks!

🪵 Features:

  • Two different types of charred wood crafted around a campfire.
  • A collection of wooden blocks for both variants, like planks, stairs, slabs, fences, trapdoors, signs, and boats.
  • Traditional Japanese decorations like paper lamps, shoji screens, tsukubai, garden lanterns, and tatami.
  • Katanas and shurikens crafted from tamahagane chunks.
  • Straw equipment like straw hat, straw mino, and straw boots.
  • Aged stone and polished aged stone sets crafted from cobblestone and stone.
