Description
Boredom really is the best fuel source to creativity, isn't it?
Yellowbross's Extras is a fun little side mod acting as a repository for completely random mod ideas; specifically, ideas that wouldn't have fit in any other mod I made.
Note that ideas from this mod get pretty wacky overpowered. For obvious reasons, this mod is not meant for survival gameplay.
Defender

yes, he's supposed to look like that...
Defender is currently a WIP boss. And he's likely gonna stay that way for a long time, considering he's probably going to be the stupidest, most overdeveloped thing I add to Minecraft.
Recommended gear: At least diamond, Bow with Infinity, Water Bucket, Flint and Steel, PvE Blocks
A ✸ means this attack is one of Defender's ultimate moves, which are only used when he reaches 0 HP.
Phase 1 - Cold Weapons
Sword - A simple sword swing. Defender's most basic attack for this phase.
Axes - Defender throws a bunch of axes, dealing splash damage.
Boomerang - Defender throws a boomerang. Anything it hits is stunned temporarily for 10 seconds.
Buzzsaws - Defender creates buzzsaws and spins around, hitting and flinging everyone nearby. A great crowd control maneuver.
Spikes - Defender stomps the ground and creates spikes, then jumps and crashes to the ground, spawning even more spikes.
Claws - Defender will kick his opponent into the air, then jump up to attack them, dealing major damage.
Shuriken Launcher - Shoots a bunch of shurikens, which pierce targets. They also deal % damage.
Chainsaw - Defender shoots a chainsaw outward. Ignores I-frames for extreme damage if caught.
✸Excalibur - A rock and excalibur fall from the sky. Defender will grab the excalibur from the rock and start to spin, flying toward his target. This attack causes extreme damage to anyone caught within it.
Phase 2 - Ranged Weapons
Ratatatabow - Defender grabs his trusty Ratatatabow and hops right over your head, shooting a barrage of random projectiles ranging from snowballs to tridents. You can run or build a wall to avoid this attack.
Poison Darts - Defender shoots a bunch of poison darts out of a blowgun. These darts are actually tiny syringes filled with his patented Super Duper Poison™, which fills any mob it hits with unstable green goo that bursts out of them upon death, spreading the infection further.
Force Gun - This is how he tells you "okay, you're getting a little close for comfort, pal".
Snipe - Using a sniper rifle, Defender shoots a bunch of deadly arrows in all directions which pierce blocks and deal either 15 damage or 25% of a mob's max HP (depending on whichever is higher). He'll then yeet the rifle itself.
Sentry Guns - Are these things Defender's children or just him being in multiple places at once? No clue, but they seem to multiply after filling everybody with lead. Killing them seems to damage Defender directly, though, and they'll go away on their own if you're out of their sight.
Icethrower - Defender shoots a bunch of icicles into the sky, which rain back down to freeze any mob they hit solid.
Wither Bazooka - He shoots a giant freakin' nuke. For some reason, this nuke's damage is sight-based, though, so just hiding behind a wall should keep you safe.
Creeper Gun - Some weird gun Defender found from a shady Villager he talked to. The creepers shot out of this gun fly so fast that blocking is your only reliable way of stopping them.
✸Flamethrower - Turning his arms into fire, Defender blasts off into the sky on six jetpacks, flying around and filling the floor of the battlefield with flames. Hit his giant fireballs back into the sky and watch your feet!
Creeper Infection

A group of special creepers. These creepers attack everything they find, infecting their target if they kill them. Don't use these guys on worlds you care about if mobGriefing is enabled...
Sneaker - Has 3 variants. Normal (weakest), Super (red; larger explosion), and Vortex (pulls mobs in).
Paracreeper - A flying creeper head. Has the smallest explosion of the bunch.
Crawler - A larger creeper head on legs. Spawned from infecting larger mobs, it has a larger explosion that spawns more Sneakers.
Freaker - The largest creeper of the bunch, and with it the largest explosion. Spawns Crawlers upon exploding.
Sprayer - Spawned sometimes from ranged mobs, Sprayers shoot mini TNT to explode their targets without killing themselves in the process.
Vilvgaver
The Vilvgaver is a scary mob that aims to replicate the horror of Garry's Mod's nextbots to a T. While not encounterable normally, it comes with its own challenge mode that you can create your survival world with. By simply enabling the "vilvgaverChallenge" gamerule before creating your survival world, you can activate the Vilvgaver Challenge; the idea of the challenge is to beat Minecraft whilst being relentlessly pursued by a nextbot.
A Vilvgaver will spawn every 60 seconds after escape. To escape a Vilvgaver, the player must outrun it and gain enough distance for it to automatically despawn.
Below is a list of rule changes present in the Vilvgaver Challenge (*only when active) so that the game is made more realistically possible. Note, however, that you are also given major flexibility over the rules of the challenge by the config file of Yellowbross's Extras, and any of these may be toggled to your liking:
- Hunger bar will always remain full; infinite stamina
- The player does not take fall damage
- In the Nether, the player can walk overtop of lava
- In the Nether, many terrain blocks can be instantly broken
- Vilvgaver cannot spawn if you are near certain blocks, like obsidian or nether fortress bricks, or near mobs like the Blaze
- Using snowballs, you can push Vilvgaver back to make an easier escape
Oryctolins
The Oryctolins are a faction of anthropomorphic bunny balloons held together by magic. Right now, only one Oryctolin is in the mod, but they are planned to be ridiculously strong, serving as essentially Anti-Illagers. They also have their very own raid; use the "/bunnyblitz" command to mess around with it.
Below is a list of the Oryctolins currently in the mod:
Goons:
Converslin - This little bunny is responsible for turning everybody into Carrot Minions. She's planned to be very important to the Oryctolins, with all the others bringing nearly-dead enemies to her for her to convert.
Hyper Snow Golem
Hyper Snow Golem is an extremely buffed up Snow Golem that, to be honest, I've always wanted to add since 1.16. It just throws an absolute avalanche of explosive snowballs while teleporting all over the place like a madman, simple as that.
Aimbot
This cheating Skeleton has installed all sorts of cheat codes to give himself an unfair advantage in mob battles! And it seems like his plan worked... until he inevitably gets banned for cheating, of course.
FAQ
Will you port to (game version/modloader)?
-No—at least, not by me. I don't know how Fabric works, and porting forward to newer versions takes up so much time and is so much of a pain that I want 1.20 to be the last version of Minecraft that I stick to. That being said, my mods are open source, so you may get into contact with me if you feel like taking up the challenge.
When will the update be ready?
-*When* it's ready. Anything could happen that makes specifying release dates impossible.
The game crashed! What do I do?
-Thanks for reporting the crash; it's extremely important that I hear about crashes so that I can fix them in updates. But to help you, I need more information about the crash; most importantly, I need to see the crash report to figure out what happened. Create a new issue about the crash, upload your crash report to a website such as Pastebin, then link to it in your issue.
Can I put this mod in my modpack?
-Absolutely! Though I ask that if you do this, you will give credit by either crediting me for the mod or leaving a link back to the modpage. Same goes for mob battles, mod showcases, etc.
I have a language translation for your mod! How should I go about sharing it with you?
-There's a couple ways to do this! You could link it within a site such as Google Drive, or just upload it onto Discord in a DM to me. Thanks for translating, by the way.

Credits
Google's AI, Gemini, was used in the production of this mod—but only very sparingly, as a stepping stone to help me learn how to code what I've never before. The creative design was entirely human-made by me.
Many of the sounds in this mod came from games such as Team Fortress 2, Half Life 2, and ULTRAKILL.
Credit to Bob Mowzie for Mowzie's Mobs, which code was borrowed from for this mod.
Special thanks to TheDarkPeasant, who has been a great help in teaching me how to write better code.
Also check out these mods below for more fun!
food bosses: reheated! - pretty self explanatory; a joke-ish mod that adds giant food enemies and bosses to your game!
Illage and Spillage - My own take on an illager mod; adds not just normal illagers, but brand new illager bosses to raids!
Tower Defense Units - A mod to help you defend your base; each unit is unique in how it behaves, craft them all and set up the ultimate base defense!
Have fun!
