Description
Yujian Craft

Command six implements in formation, ride a flying sword, and temper weapons from across your modpack into Myriad flying swords.
Yujian Craft is an original flying-sword combat and crafting mod built around Minecraft materials and survival progression. It connects long-range flying-sword arts, mid-range combo forms, sword riding, modular cores, Spirit Ore, and player-performed spirit tempering into one complete Yujian system.
Current release:
0.17.1
Minecraft 1.20.1: Forge47.4.22+· Java17
Minecraft 1.21.1: NeoForge21.1.248+· Java21
Environment: Client and server · no required third-party dependencies
Six-Implement Formations

Equip up to six flying-sword items at once. Every implement keeps its own cooldown while the formation follows the player, adjusts to the current target, and moves smoothly between docking, attack, and return paths.
- Mode A — Aligned Fan Formation: the default forward-facing fan; the implements clear the player, rise, and then pursue.
- Mode B — Ring Formation: the implements rest around the rear flanks and can launch directly forward.
- Mode C — Side-on Fan Formation: a side-facing presentation that keeps the fan's characteristic profile.
The formation and the active art are separate choices: formation decides where the implements rest and how they leave; the art decides what they do.
Targeting and attack styles
- Crosshair Lock: choose the creature under the crosshair. The lock remains until that target falls or another is selected.
- Automatic: each ready sword finds a valid nearby enemy under server rules.
- Spirit-Sense Sword Control: release ready swords, guide their path with your view, and then commit them to a target.
- Single Sortie: a sword strikes once and returns.
- Relentless Pierce: a sword passes through, curves back, and attacks again until the target becomes invalid.
Six Yujian Arts
An implement's nature recommends an art whenever its formation is deployed. Blades favour Piercing, heavy weapons Circling Sweep, ranged implements Sword Array, shields Myriad Guard, tools Spirit Toolcraft, and fishing implements Spirit Fishing. This recommendation does not close the system: unless the server restricts an item, the player may select any available art.
| Art | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Piercing Art | Supports Single Sortie, Relentless Pierce, and direct Spirit-Sense Sword Control. |
| Circling Sweep | Sends the six implements through several rapid close-range circuits to strike nearby groups. |
| Sword Array Art | Requires all six implements ready, unfolds the Grand Void Sword Array above a target, rains sword-qi, and ends with a colossal sword. |
| Myriad Guard | Turns the formation toward incoming attacks, spends durability to intercept harm, reflects part of the impact, and carries installed core effects. |
| Spirit Toolcraft | Dispatches one ready tool at a time to mine the aimed block under near-vanilla speed, harvest, and drop rules; drops return to the inventory. |
| Spirit Fishing | Sends several ready fishing implements to reachable water independently and returns catches to the inventory. |

Grand Void Sword Array

The Grand Void Sword Array can be invoked through Sword Array Art and appears as the finisher of several Yujian combo sets. With all six implements ready, aim at a valid target and press H; no lasting target lock is required.
The six implements rise and take their stations while a celestial seal expands, turns, and suppresses the target. Sword-qi falls in repeated waves before a colossal copy of the active flying sword descends, preserving its model, aura, and compatible core visuals. Ctrl+K switches between the Gilded and Tricolour seals.
The performance uses staged sound, camera impact, spatial distortion, chromatic separation, radial blur, and a brief monochrome threshold flash. Visual options can be reduced or disabled, while ordinary Sword Array and combo-finisher damage scales remain separately configurable by the server.
Yujian Combo Stance

Deploy all six implements and press X to enter a mid-range combo stance. Attacks use input buffering, so an early click can be held until the current form is ready to continue. Soft targeting favours enemies near the crosshair while still allowing the player to turn naturally and change targets.
Five selectable combo sets provide distinct rhythm and movement:
- Flowing Balance: a steady five-form sequence of crossing thrusts, a circular sweep, a six-sword release, and an accelerated Grand Void finisher.
- Fourfold Balance: extends the Flowing Balance foundation with two crossing diagonal cuts.
- Mountain-Striding Stance: uses broad sweeps, forceful changes of position, and a heavier finisher.
- Liuhe Star Ring: sends six implements through layered star-ring orbits, closes them into a prison, and collapses the formation.
- Sword-Shadow Shifting: alternates attacks with rapid spatial shifts around the target.

Myriad Flying Swords and Spirit Tempering

The Spirit Tempering Table follows an open compatibility model. A suitable non-stackable weapon, axe, hammer, firearm, shield, tool, fishing rod, or other implement from Minecraft or another mod can be refined without requiring every item to be registered in advance.
Place the implement in the upper slot and offer one native flying sword as its spiritual core below. Define the implement's nature, then shape how it appears in formation: orientation, flip, scale, body glow, aura width, and aura length can all be previewed. Complex models may keep only the outer aura or preserve their original rendering.
Tempering preserves the original item's identity, name, model, ordinary use, enchantments, and durability. Flight speed inherits the material of the offered native sword, while intrinsic piercing connects the weapon's in-hand and flying damage. Each individual item may be tempered at most twice. Re-tempering disperses its installed Yujian cores but preserves ordinary and third-party enchantments, name, and durability.
Spirit Trial

After nature and shaping are confirmed, entering the Spirit Trial immediately consumes the required experience and core sword. The player then has ten seconds to demonstrate the chosen implement's power against the Trialblade Pedestal.
The trial accepts the ritual implement itself, a traceable projectile launched by it, or one authorised trial sword. Other inventory weapons, multiple flying swords, and lingering core damage cannot be mixed into the result. Potions, accessories, and temporary bonuses remain valid preparations. The result becomes the item's intrinsic piercing damage and awakens its Artifact Spirit.
Reversible Core Assembly

The Flying Sword Workbench installs, replaces, and removes Yujian cores, with a real-time preview of the resulting sword. Most cores return their materials when removed. Tiered cores normally use material counts of 1 / 16 / 64 for levels I / II / III.
| Material | Core | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Blaze Powder | Flame Core | Applies an independent burning effect on hit. |
| Lightning Rod | Lightning Core | Calls non-destructive lightning on hit. |
| Poisonous Potato | Blight Core | Applies an independent toxic effect on hit. |
| Gunpowder | Burst Core | Creates a block-safe explosion on hit. |
| Arrow | Arrow Rain Core | Summons physical arrows above the target. |
| Emerald | Edge Refinement | Adds damage to every sword pass. |
| Diamond | Body Reinforcement | Raises the sword's maximum durability. |
| Nether Star | Undying Sword Heart | Prevents durability consumption. |
| Magma Block | Molten Sword Heart | Turns the blade into a bright white-hot energy body. |
Effect cores use shared server cooldowns where necessary so repeated piercing, guard retaliation, Toolcraft, Fishing, and combo attacks remain controlled in multiplayer.
Spirit Ore, Workstations, and Sword Series

Spirit Ore and Deepslate Spirit Ore generate underground in the Overworld. Mine them with an iron-tier tool or better to obtain Spirit Crystals; Fortune improves the yield and Silk Touch preserves the ore. Existing worlds remain playable, but naturally generated ore requires newly explored chunks.

Spirit Crystals link the survival progression together:
- the Flying Sword Workbench installs and removes cores;
- the Spirit Tempering Table refines Myriad flying swords and opens the Spirit Trial;
- the Spirit Replenishing Table spends one Spirit Crystal to restore one quarter of the combined physical and reinforcement-core durability reserve.

Wood, stone, iron, gold, diamond, and netherite materials are represented across four native series: base Flying Swords, Spiritforged Swords, Luminous Flying Swords, and Condensed-aura Flying Swords. Their recipes are available through ordinary recipe discovery and compatible recipe viewers.
Sword Riding
With a usable flying sword in the inventory, double-tap the current Jump key to take off or land. The support sword under the player is separate from the six combat implements, so riding never consumes a sword from the active formation. Direction, ascent, descent, and confined-space camera handling are designed around third-person play. When no usable flying sword is present, the mod does not take over vanilla flight input.
Yujian Guide, Quick Switch, and Controls
Every player receives a Yujian Guide on first joining a world, and it can be crafted again from a book and a Spirit Crystal. Its clickable sixteen-page contents cover resources, forging, formations, targeting, all six arts, combo sets, sword riding, cores, Myriad tempering, the Spirit Trial, durability, multiplayer rules, and troubleshooting. The guide displays the player's actual current key bindings.

Ctrl+G opens the Yujian Quick Switch, where formations, arts, and combo sets can be selected directly.

Installation and Compatibility
Choose the file that matches both your game version and loader:
- Minecraft
1.20.1· Forge47.4.22+· Java17 - Minecraft
1.21.1· NeoForge21.1.248+· Java21
Place the matching JAR in the instance's mods folder. Yujian Craft is not a client-only mod; multiplayer clients and the server should use the same mod version. Back up worlds before changing mod versions, especially when moving from old previews. Versions earlier than 0.9.17 used the internal namespace swordflight; their items, blocks, and configurations do not migrate automatically.
Settings and Multiplayer
Ctrl+I opens settings for targeting, attack style, arts, optimized third person, Sword Riding, crosshair, sound, brightness, and visual effects. Combat values, targets, ranges, cooldowns, and per-world Myriad item rules are server-authoritative. Administrators can reload supported server configuration changes with /yujiancraft reload.
The Grand Void Sword Array and several combo sets use bright flashes and full-screen effects. Players sensitive to flashing imagery should reduce or disable those effects and stop immediately if discomfort occurs.
