About
This mod adds the Copper Golem as it appeared in Minecraft Live 2021. It is NOT meant to backport the version used in the upcoming update.
GeckoLib 4 is required for this mod to work.
Usage
Copper Golem
The Copper Golem can be spawned by placing a copper block and a carved pumpkin (or jack-o-lantern) and lightning rod on top, as shown below.

The Copper Golem, when spawned, will search for nearby Copper Buttons, and if it finds one, it will run up to it and automatically press it, activating any redstone components connected to it as if it was right-clicked by the player.
The Copper Golem will oxidize over time, changing its colors and decreasing its speed before turning fully teal and not moving on its own, effectively turning it into a statue. Like with other copper blocks, Copper Golems can be waxed by right-clicking them with a honeycomb, locking them in their current oxidation stage until unwaxed, and right-clicking them with an axe will scrape off 1 layer of oxidation and any waxing.
When killed, the Copper Golem will drop 3-5 copper ingots.
Copper Button
Copper Buttons are crafted by placing a single copper block in the crafting grid, as shown below. (Note: The copper block can be in any position within the crafting grid)

Copper Buttons function the same as stone buttons, but are targeted and automatically pressed by Copper Golems.
Credits
The Copper Golem's model and initial oxidation stage was created by Graustreif_2004, converted and animated by me, and with textures for oxidized variants made by me.
The Copper Golem's sounds in this mod are made by Mojang and taken from the upcoming update.
