Zodiac Sword Bosses adds flying, three-phase sword bosses themed on the zodiac, a night-locked dimension full of new ores, and powerful armor and weapons to forge.

The Bosses

Three zodiac bosses are in the game so far. Each has its own model, animations, attacks, boss bar and particles, and grows stronger across three phases.

• Pisces: the moon caster. Beams, moon bolts, tides and the widest move list. It parries, blocks, deflects, dodges and summons minions.
• Aries: the relentless glass cannon. Fast, fiery lunges and horn strikes. It leaves a fire trail and burns everything near it in phase 3. It goes into a rage at half health.
• Taurus: the unstoppable bull. Slow, heavy, devastating melee. It never flinches and shakes the ground in phase 3. It becomes enraged at low health.

Bosses parry arrows and explosions, so fight them up close. They drop essence and, rarely (2-5%), their signature blade.

Summoning

• Boss Altar: found across the Overworld, Nether and End. Awakens a random boss, once.
• Zodiac Altar: a rarer altar. Feed it a boss essence to summon that exact boss, as often as you like.
• Pisces Sigil: right-click a block to awaken Pisces.
• Ram's Horn: hold right-click for 3 seconds to call down Aries. 3 uses.
• Bull's Ring: hold right-click for 3 seconds to rouse Taurus. 3 uses.
• Arena Summoning Blocks: in the Zodiac Realm, rearm after a cooldown.

Summoning items are crafted from Sword Essence, dropped by haunted levitating swords, axes and spears that roam the Overworld.

Blades of the Zodiac

All 12 signs have a blade, drawn as a black silhouette inspired by the zodiac sword art. All are stronger than netherite.

• Blade of Aries: sets targets on fire.
• Blade of Taurus: applies Gored, so targets take 30% more damage for 10 seconds.
• Blade of Pisces: slows targets.

The other nine have special abilities, and are available only in creative mode until their bosses arrive:

• Gemini: a chance to strike twice.
• Cancer: heals you on hit.
• Leo: gives you Strength on hit.
• Virgo: weakens enemies and regenerates you.
• Libra: bonus damage based on the target's health.
• Scorpio: poisons enemies.
• Sagittarius: right-click to fire an arrow.
• Capricorn: gives you Resistance on hit.
• Aquarius: lifts enemies upward and speeds you up.

The Zodiac Realm

Craft a Zodiac Gateway to enter an endless night under two moons.

• 10 biomes: 5 surface and 5 cave
• One unique ore in each: Celestine, Emberite, Frostsilver, Stardust, Prismite, Lunarite, Magmite, Glacite, Verdite, Aurelite
• Obelisks, shrines with loot, giant planted swords, and boss arenas
• New building blocks: Amethyst Rock, Ember Rock, Ember Bricks, Ebony wood

Forge and Armor

Build the 3x3x3 Weapon Forge and Forge Furnace multiblocks.

• Forge Furnace: lava-powered and 4x faster. It is the only way to smelt realm metals.
• Weapon Forge: the only way to craft realm armor.

Five metal armor sets, each stronger than netherite, with a full-set bonus.

Configurable

A config file lets you change boss health and damage, drop rates, whether bosses parry ranged attacks or summon minions, particle density, Forge Furnace speed, and more.

• Bosses are currently Aries, Taurus and Pisces. More signs are planned.
• The Boss Altar can also summon bosses from other mods (configurable).
• Includes 44 advancements.
