Defeat the Ender Dragon to unlock Hard-Mode!
Hard-Mode is pretty self-explanatory but it also unlocks new loot from easily farmable enemies.

How to use Soul Crystals!

  • Void Soul Crystals drop from Enderman only while your in the End
  • Fire Soul Crystals drop from Blazes and Magma Slimes
  • Ancient Soul Crystals drop from Skeletons and the Warden

  • Powerful Armor
    Powerful Armor Find early-game armor then you can upgrade it into powerful "hard-mode" armor. You can access "hard-mode" after you defeat the Ender Dragon.
  • New Materials!
    New Materials! Adds a bunch of new materials to your playthrough. Some are relatively easy to get and some you cannot obtain until after the Ender Dragon. Almost every new material is obtained by killing enemies and have a rare drop chance.
  • New Mechanics
    New Mechanics "purity" mechanic allows you to gain random rewards when you've consumed a certain amount of negative/positive "purity"

  • More Advancements!
    More Advancements! Adds many new Advancements to your playthrough. Some can be obtainable in "pre-hard-mode" and some are only available after you've defeated the Ender Dragon.
