About

Description

The Spread is a mod focused on the titular macrovirus, The Spread. This mod was made in MCreator as my first ever project in mod-making, and was designed to add more challenge to Minecraft.

Any block of Spread, be it the creep, bloom, or tumors, can infect your Minecraft world and grow out of control quickly, devouring everything in its wake; zombies transform into hulking multi-ocular beasts, pillars of spreadbloom scrape at the sky, as the Spread grows on its own bones to spread further and further. Enjoy your homegrown apocalypse~

Currently (3/31/2025) the mod isn't fully where I want it, so updates on the way eventually (tm). I do plan on focusing on other projects first. Currently I've spent about four or five months working on this mod and learning MCreator. There is no custom code, only code blocks. How'd I do? ;)

Me? I'm Zynd Legion, and I stream on twitch at Twitch.tv/ZyndLegion as a vtuber demon of intrusive thoughts, so feel free and come by and chill. Depending on the stream, I probably won't have the ability to talk about the mod, so don't expect that unless it's a pretty slow stream, but I'd still love to see you. Thanks!

  • They see. They Get.
They see. They Get. Hulking beasts, they seek to bring more entities into their unity.
  • Like coral...
Like coral... ...But far more dangerous. A tower of spreadbloom looming over you means one thing; spreadseeds will rain down soon.
  • Fruit of life...?
Fruit of life...? Not your life, though. While nourishing, spreadfruit will corrupt you, corroding your armor, weakening your arms, and eventually the corruption begins to eat you back...
  • It overtakes.
It overtakes. Spread converts trees it touches, creating new towers of spreadbloom to continue the cycle, even if it is blocked on the ground.
  • But it can be stopped.
But it can be stopped. Spread is intentionally difficult to stop; but with some rare materials, some samples of the spread, and let's be honest, something like JEI/NEI/whatever the recipe checker mod is, you can craft Antispread, a compound that renders spread inert.
