Description

Welcome to ARCHANGELS

What is it?

It is a vanilla modpack - essentially keeping minecraft as it is whilst adding some QoL features and a lot of good looking animations. Whilst some mods will only work on server-side (such as Countered's Terrain Slabs), most of them are client side mods, so running it on a server should not cause any harm/break any rules.

Why does it exist?

I wanted a performant modpack that was purely vanilla themed to base other modpacks on. Whilst it runs on Neoforge, ARCHANGELS performs perfectly fine, while also allowing for the use of shaders and much more effects. This is like a template modpack, on top of which you may add whatever other mods you would like.

  • Create? Go full steam ahead!
  • Oritech? Just do it!
  • Distant Horizons??? I mean... you can if you want to?

The crux is that this modpack is the starting point of modpacks. It is the foundation. It has all the simple mods that one will need (and counting). It is also highly stable and works really darn well in its compatibility with other mods.

What makes it different from other modpacks?

Like I said, its a template modpack. It serves no difference from plain old vanilla minecraft, except for a few more effects and better performance. The point of this modpack is to allow the user to add their own mods and build their own experience. That is, with a little help from this modpack.

I have seen countless videos talking about the "Best Vanilla Mods" or "Best Client-Side Mods" or "Best QoL Mods", and I said enough is enough and made the modpack to be an all-in-one answer.

Do note that the mods that are fabric-only or quilt-only cannot be added to this modpack as it mainly serves for neoforge. I have tested a fabric version of this modpack and it does not seem as performant. I will do further testing on my devices to make sure that it does not hinder performance before uploading it.
