Description

Ever heard the phrase, "It's quiet... too quiet."? ... Well, in A Thinking Pack: It's simple... too simple...

The Challenge:

Challenge yourself to what is perhaps an unusual challenge. Strangely simple, and yet, strangely complex.

When a modpack has too many mods, automation often becomes too easy. The challenge of A Thinking Pack, is that it's got too few mods!

Here's your challenge:

- Start in the Asteroid Belt with low resources (and no mobs to get metals from).

- Automate pretty much everything, using only these few mods. (Bonus points: Make super-fast automation?).

- Visit every planet (and build a livable base on each one).

- Bonus: Build a big rail system?

Here are your obstacles:

- No Nether (which means no easy access to quartz, etc. & no fast-traveling through Nether tunnels).

- No Potions/Enchantments/Magic

- Peaceful mode (makes some items harder to acquire) (must be enabled manually, I'm trying to find a way to fix this in the pack download).

- Use very few mods.

Basically, A Thinking Pack is a custom, near-vanilla modpack, based around the mods: CC:Tweaked (like ComputerCraft), Railcraft, and Galacticraft, with a few other mods added as support.

This is version 2 of the pack for MC 1.12

Version 1 for MC 1.7.10 went along with my 100 episode lets play on YouTube, and this version 2 is to go along with my next lets play on youtube.com/peculiarpinetreeplays

Your Videos/Streams:

Feel free to make your own videos/streams of this modpack, and send me the link. I'd love to see how you're enjoying this modpack!

I only ask that you credit me in some way. And that, if reasonably possible, you provide a link to this page, so your viewers can download this pack for themselves if they choose.

Note:

- Peaceful Mode must be enabled manually, and seems to get reset every time you load the world. I'm trying to find a way to fix this in the pack download.
