Absolute Horror

Absolute Horror is a modpack inspired by the classic HorrorCraft, now ported to Minecraft 1.20 with enhanced mods and optimized performance for a modern gameplay experience. The modpack replaces SRParasites with "Prion Infection," introducing a truly immersive and realistic spreading threat that evolves within the world, creating an ever-present sense of dread without feeling unfair or overpowered.

In Absolute Horror, the focus is on delivering a terrifying survival experience. The addition of shaders and performance mods like "Embeddium" brings a sleek, contemporary look to the game while maintaining smooth performance. The modpack also emphasizes world generation, with mods like Terralith and Lost Cities transforming the landscape above and below ground, heightening the sense of isolation and danger.

The core challenge lies in surviving the relentless Prion Infection, which spreads through the environment and evolves, constantly keeping players on edge. Alongside this, various technology mods provide the tools necessary for survival in a world that is as beautiful as it is deadly.

This mod is intended to be played with Lost Cities always generated & on. If you have issues with Gregtech, this is also intended to keep you on the lower end of technology for a while to increase difficulty and survival feeling of the game. Shaders are also editted to increase darkness in-general.

Absolute Horror is still in development, and the modpack is subject to change as it continues to evolve. Prepare to face the ultimate survival horror experience in a world that constantly challenges your ability to endure!

I plan to go more in-depth with configs specifically on Prion Infection however currently there is a no config touches to Prion nor Gregtech as the default should be good, however of course I'm taking suggestions, complaints, & feedback.
