Description

ACOT - "A Cherry On Top"

ACOT is a modpack focused on visual flair and optimization with moderate content additions.

What's the purpose of ACOT?

I made ACOT with the full purpose of creating an experience based on both style and substance while expanding on the base game without impacting the vanilla mechanics too much.

Minecraft in its vanilla state is quite lacking in terms of new content, and most people agree with that sentiment. However, I feel that the game is also lacking in terms of visuals.

ACOT aims to remedy that issue by making the nature and fauna of Minecraft feel a lot more atmospheric and alive. Whether it'd be through falling leaves from trees, the sounds of rolling water in a nearby river, or anything else that makes the world feel more alive.

What can I expect to be in ACOT?

There's a handful of things that are in ACOT, so let me go ahead and list a few of them off.

  • Furniture to liven up your builds! What's a good place without some decor?
  • Rare treasures that provide certain buffs to your character. Feel free to mix and match to fit your playstyle!
  • Expanded End Islands and Nether Dimension. New biomes, creatures, and more await you in these vastly overhauled dimensions!
  • Overhauled Creeper and Enderman behavior! No longer can you expect your structures to be blown up, nor can you expect any random blocks to be randomly taken!
  • Re-addition of scrapped mobs. Upset that your favorite Mob Vote creature didnt win? Well, they're all here!
  • Tons of new sounds for footsteps, player actions, and more!
  • A plethora of visual flair, fancy particle effects, and animations that provide additional context for what you're doing.
  • And more!
