About

Description

Are you new to the modded Minecraft scene, but overwhelmed by all these 200+ mod modpacks? Do even the ones that say 'simplified' or 'Vanilla like' in their description seem kinda hectic?

I get where you're coming from. Not only was I in that exact spot a couple years back, but I find it interesting how modded Minecraft seems to be Pure Vanilla or Feed The Beast level. There really is no in-between. Even worse, you get left in the dust because even the modded Minecraft scene is finding the modded stuff too easy, and elect to use modpacks that have an Expert Mode to make the recipes ridiculously difficult (like requiring 72 cobblestone to make a furnace, or using Extreme Crafting which is used with a 9x9 crafting table).

I want to help alleviate that difficulty. Maybe you like Vanilla and want a pinch of fun added in. Maybe you want to get started with modded Minecraft, but don't know where to start. This is the modpack for you, then. There is nothing overpowered here. There is nothing ridiculously complex here. This is basic enough that you could still play Vanilla Minecraft, and only have a few recipes changed (like adding in the ability to craft horse armor or saddles). No machines, no multi-block structures, no magic. Just mods that give you the experience of what COULD be possible with the very fundamental basics of modded Minecraft.

This is Adanicx Beginnings, a pack designed similarly to what I created for myself about three years ago for 1.7.2 to help me learn modded Minecraft.
