The idea behind these AechtCraft modpacks is to create packs which substantially change the experience of vanilla minecraft, while trying to keep things in balance, without allowing any mod to overwhelm the others, not allowing large numbers of conflicting "plotline" mods, not making recipes more difficult than they need to be (a la some of the ultra-chaotic ftb packs, DDSS, RLCraft, etc.), and retaining the open-ended play structure of vanilla: there is no aim or specific end-game. So each pack tends to have a few "core" mods which focus the game, and then a host of other mods but very much in cosmetic or supporting roles. I'm also going for a fair dollop of purely aesthetic enjoyment.
 
03 Feb 2020: Gradually acquiring the various config that it needs to harmonise it all. I'm currently assigning 8GB of RAM for this installation, but it can surely run on far less once all the config has been done to manage mob and item density.

Recommended Optifine version: Optifine_1.12.2_HD_U_F5 [if you do use Optifine - do NOT turn on shaders, as they will bug with the betterportals mod - or strip out the betterportals mod if you like]
