Aftermath: Post-apocalyptic survival

UPDATE:

This modpack has been left out for a newer version in 1.18.2! While 1.12.2 was my go to version for modpacks for the longest time. The newer version are simply better now, despite the lack of specific mods that I prefer.

The Aftermath.

Yet another post-apocalyptic survival modpack. But my own way.

Notice: you MUST download Optifine via the official website, otherwise resource packs will not work and performance will be quite mediocre.

What's it about?

Aftermath sets place in a ruined city, filled with zombies, at least until they evolve...

You goal is to survive and build your place as you anticipate the evolution of the parasite that spreads the infection.

You start with only the bare minimum. Clothes, a survival knife, some food and water, but it's up to you to craft and find your survival style. Show your true talent by crafting an unpenetrable base that not even the toughest parasite stands a chance against.

Backstory:

During a flight from the infected city to a safer place, your plane crashes in the middle of the apocalypse. You find yourself with nothing but yourself.

Features:

Limited inventory

If you thought in real life, you could carry hundreds of items just in your pockets, you are severly wrong! You start with only 9 slots, and with time, you may finally be able to craft a backpack, with which you will be able to store more and more as you upgrade it.

Your own personal Doggy!

If you play Minecraft alone much, you know how lonely it gets to survive on your own. So I decided to give you, the player, a little companion, an immortal dog!

Realistic animals

Just like real life, animals come in genders, and they have to be fed and given drink to be able to reproduce. Watch out, as they might get infected, and that's the last thing you want, so don't take too long to get a farm!

Realistic Weather

Minecraft's clouds have been completely turned for this brand new particle based weather system. There is now dynamic wind, affecting the rain, making leaves fall of trees, and storms of various danger levels can appear in your world.

Essential

Using the Essential mod, you can now host worlds and play with friends online without going through the hassle of hosting a paid server or faking LAN! However, you may need a strong computer to host a game.
