Almost Realism

Almost Realism is a modpack designed to make Minecraft more realistic by adding some hardcore survival elements, while also adding some additional, non-realistic elements. 

Features:

Harder Survival: The health of mobs increases the longer you play, you have to monitor your temperature and thirst in addition to your hunger, trees can't be cut down with just your fists, darkness is darker, nether portals are more dangerous, more dungeons, mobs have a chance to have special abilities, you can't just eat the same food over and over. 

More Ways to Gain Health: Your total health can be increased in one of three ways: from heart crystals, (which can be found as heart crystal shard ore), from killing mobs and gaining hp levels, or from eating different foods (there are lots of different foods).

More Ways to Buff Yourself: Lots more enchantments and potions, plus you can increase your skills in certain areas by spending exp.

More NPCs: 11th-century Norman, Indian, Japanese, Mayan, Byzantine and Inuit civilizations that will give you quests.

Realistic World: Realistic terrain generation, more realistic trees, better caves.
