Mods to make Minecaft a little scarier.
1.12.2, Forge 14.23.5.2860 only(other versions break the mod because of better foliage)
Highlights:
Hardcore Darkness -Removes the minimum light level from Minecraft. Pure Darkness
Grue -Fear The dark. Bring a torch... If you can
Realistic Torches -Good luck using torches
Weeping Angels -Always look behind you.
Spiders 2.0 -If you hated spiders before, you'll hate them more now.
Mo' Bends -WHY DO THEY LOOK LIKE THAT AAAAAUGH
Zombie Awareness -Don't take damage. Just don't.
Epic Siege Mod -Monsters are smarter. What's scarier then that?
Zombie players -Creates a dead version of yourself when you die
Mo' Zombie Waves -New Zombies
Void Fog -Fog below 0.

Dynamic Trees -Realistic trees
Better Foliage -Just better foliage
Defiled Lands -A new biome that you don't want to be in.

Stalker Creepers -They actually stalk you now!

Dynamic Surroundings -What's a horror mod pack without any effects?
Performance
Entity Culling -Hides entities until you can see them. Sounds pointless but its not trust me
Foam Fix -Just helps
FPS Reducer -Sets fps to 1 when the game isn't focused. Helps when you are trying to open Spotify
Preformant -Less lag? For servers? I guess? If you want this for a server?
Surge -Performance
Tick Dynamic -Still laggy? Makes it appear as if the world doesnt have lag
