Apocalyptic Revolution

It’s been 20 long years since I last saw my son. He was about 6 years old when I got redeployed to fight off the spread of a new virus, and with the supposed news showings of some new monsters that had been going around, I wasn't sure I would come back. I had never believed in monsters, and I didn’t think too much of it at the time. Just thought that some guy caught onto a Bigfoot type of story, and that some people needed to be quarantined in a third world country that didn’t have much protection of their own. So they called me back in after I thought I was done. This wasn’t just some disease, however. No, it was something much more than that. It was something that caused calamity to our once peaceful nation. Yet now, I stand here, as the last member of my infantry just hoping to kill them all off. If I'm going to survive, I'm going to have to start revolutionizing and using my resources, try to establish a base of operations of my own, and maybe make a few more guns. But rest assured, I will kill them all off, using whatever method it takes. So what if they get stronger as the days go on? I will prevail, I have to if I ever want to see my family ever again.
