Survive the Netherite Octoarachnopod.

Spidercraft is built around one mod: the Netherite Octoarachnopod, that netherite spider from the videos. A single, relentless, procedurally animated giant spider hunts you across the world. Its eight legs are solved live with inverse kinematics, so it scuttles, climbs and lunges like a real spider. It towers over the trees from far away, charges in at up to 8× speed, and shrinks down as it closes in to bite.

Everything else in this pack exists for that hunt: guns to kill it, gear and magic to survive it, backpacks and tech to keep you going, and a big, dangerous world for it to chase you through. 220 mods on NeoForge 1.21.1.

⚠️🕷️ Arachnophobia warning: this pack is full of spiders, and the big one moves exactly like a real one. If spiders bother you, this pack is not for you.

🕷️ The hunter

Only one exists at a time, and it always comes back. It wears four faces:

• The netherite juggernaut: 350 HP inside the stats of a full netherite armour suit, a 6-heart bite, and fireproof. It wades straight through lava.
• The camo stalker: 600 HP. Its legs repaint themselves as the blocks it stands on, and its footsteps sound like yours.
• The poison striker: 500 HP. It rears up and lunges like a tarantula, and its bite poisons you for 30 seconds.
• The HUNTER: 400 HP, player-sized and dead silent. It blinds you when it gets close and only moves while you are not looking at it.

There is nowhere to hide. It follows you through portals into any dimension, squeezes down 1×1 holes after you, comes through doors, and rides above deep water. Feed the netherite spider a netherite ingot and it enrages into a true boss (700 HP, 10-heart bite) that always drops a full netherite block. Any kill has a 50% chance to drop the netherite ingot it is made of.

Your one safe place: craft a Warding Idol (4 diamonds, 4 deepslate, 1 netherite ingot). Nothing spawns within 128 blocks of it, and the spider cannot follow you inside. Run home mid-chase and it stops at the edge. Only the enraged boss walks in and blows it apart.

🔫 Guns: for killing the spiders

A 350-HP spider wearing the stats of a full netherite armour suit shrugs off a stone sword. These are what bring it down. TaCZ provides the firearms and Elite X Quality Guns adds a big arsenal on top. Create: Gunsmithing brings Create-style guns, and the target dummy lets you see how hard each one hits before you need it.

🎒 Survival gear: to keep you alive between hunts

Hunting a giant spider means long trips far from home. Backpacks and storage carry and sort everything you bring back. Corpse keeps your gear safe in a grave when the spider wins a round, and Waystones warp you home. Heart canisters raise your health, and the craftable extras turn hard-to-find essentials (saddles, horse armour, name tags, enchanted golden apples) into recipes.
