Disclaimer: You should not play this pack if you aren't familliar with Astral Sorcery!
Have you ever though, that Astral Sorcery was "too easy" and "too short"?
Well, I for sure have and it motivated me to create this modpack.
Enter Astral Magica, a mini-expert pack focused on Astral Sorcery, though eventually focusing on Extended Crafting and ProjectE.
A majority of the experience is actually KubeJS and Custom Machinery. 27 Machines and more than 500 custom items have been added, for overhauled and harder progression. Many recipes have been changed, including every single recipe from Astral Sorcery, almost every single recipe from Extended Crafting and ProjectE, as well as quite a few from Vanilla itself. A brief but not complete list of mods is as follows:
- Astral Sorcery
This is the core of the modpack. A majority of the playthrough is tied to advancing through it's tiers. Almost all recipes have been altered andworsenedadjusted to fit the stricter progression. - KubeJS
While not a mod that would add content by itself, it is this modpack's way of adding custom items, fluids and blocks. You will see KubeJS everywhere, from the first steps in Earlygame to the last steps in Endgame. - Custom Machinery
Pairing well with KubeJS, this mod adds the ability to add (you guessed it) Custom Machines. There are 27 of them, and like with custom items, it is present everywhere in the modpack. - PonderJS
You will inevitably encounter Multiblock Machines in your playthrough. PonderJS serves to make custom scenes and display how the structure should be built.
Note: This mod does require Create to be installed, but all content from it has been disabled. It exists in the mod list and in creative worlds, but you will not encounter it in survival (hopefully...). - Extended Crafting
The normal Crafting Table was not enough, so an upgraded 3x3 Crafting Table, a 5x5 Crafting Table and even a 7x7 Crafting Table. The first two exist as substitution for Astral Sorcery Altars, and the last one is used for high-level ProjectE stuff and advanced Machinery. - ProjectE
One of the last mods you will unlock in your playthrough. Thanks to it's Transmutation Table, you will not need to worry about obtaining large amounts of resources. It is a necessary milestone to reach if you want to get to the goal. - Simple Storage Network
With so many custom items, it would be tedious to try to keep track of them all. This mods adds a storage system, set it up properly and you can view the contents of all of your chests in one terminal. - FTB Quests
With 13+ questlines and 300+ quests, Astral Magica has an extensively developed questbook. Quests give item rewards to aid and speed up your progress, you can challenge yourself to not claim any.
The goal is said to be the Celestial Gateway from Astral Sorcery. However, you are able to proceed past it, venture through ProjectE and obtain the Creative Vending Upgrade.
I estimate that such a goal could take about 50~ hours of playtime, but feel free to take your time. There is no rush. This modpack is not easy, despite the fact it is not too long.
