How to:
- Configure mods: You can go in the Mod menu or in the config files inside the modpack instance.
- Get tools: Break a tree (it takes a while) or break logs from dead trees.
- Not freeze to death: Build a campfire and get leather armor (snow biomes are not recommended for beginners).
- Survive: Get resources at day and hide/sleep at night. Cities and caves are hard, so be careful.
FAQ:
Q: I keep getting infected, what can I do to prevent that from happening?
A: Don't attack zombies for no reason, they are extremely deadly and you will get overwhelmed quickly. So I recommend you to stay away from them, get resources at day and when you get your first gun with a good amount of ammo, now you can try to kill them, but be careful.
Q: What guns do you recommend?
A: Get a good 9mm as a first gun, like the Glock 17, then get a good 5.56 like the M16A1 as your second gun, finally get an SKS, it can one shot in the head, as a third gun. Obviously you don't need to have exacly what I recommended, you can get whatever you want, its just some guns I can recommend for an easier playtrough.
Q: My game is lagging alot, what can I do to have better performance?
A: This modpack is more for modern-ish systems, I recommend an i5 10400 with a RTX 2060 or similar. For low end systems, you can try to lower the render distance to 12 and maybe disable Fresh Animations in the resource packs and disable shaders. Don't forget to allocate enough RAM to Minecraft, I recommend 6 GB to 8 GB.
