Beyond Tides is a pirate-themed Minecraft modpack focused on ocean, rpg, survival, ships, and adventure. You begin stranded as a shipwrecked pirate on a small island. You must fish, gather resources, and prepare before setting sails into the ultimate minecraft pirate mod-pack.

Blending immersive world generation, dangerous mobs, custom structures, and guided progression, the pack evolves from early survival, into naval exploration, large-scale conflict, and settlement building. Designed for long-term and hardcore-style play, it expands nearly every system—combat, farming, fishing, enchanting, and even death—while staying true to vanilla gameplay.

The result is a cohesive nautical survival RPG where every journey across the sea becomes part of your own pirate legend.

Your journey begins on a small island at deep sea as a shipwrecked pirate, gather basic resources, fish for food, and prepare for exploration.

The pack supports a guided progression path centered around survival, exploration, and expansion. While not strictly linear, it encourages players to move from shoreline survival to exploration, ship usage, gear progression, settlement building, and domination. The structure of the questline helps players naturally transition into the pirate fantasy without forcing rigid gameplay.

Revamped world generation adding larger and deeper oceans, continents, and islands. Worlds are redesigned to feel vast, dangerous, and ocean-focused. Expansive island chains, coastal cliffs, and pirate coves, custom dungeon structures, illager outposts, raider ports, hidden treasure locations, and more fill each world without overloading land with structures. Structures will generate more spaced out to encourage exploration.

The world is alive, reactive, and dangerous. Stay on your toes with the hundreds of new mobs and bosses both aquatic, terrestrial, and dimensional.

The pirate theme comes alive through expanded water travel, build your fleet with new craft able boat/ships, as well as fully customizable ships you can build block by block to sail the seas.

Fishing becomes a meaningful quest progression path rather than a passive activity. Revamped fishing by adding new fishing mechanics, and hundreds of new fish. This feature is for that one friend who is always fishing.

This pack encourages creating large builds, so mods are added to aid in faster construction such as effortless building and ftb ultimine. As well as thousands of new blocks and decorations.

Farming has been overhauled adding new machines, tools, and crops. Food systems are also expanded to support long voyages and hardcore survival. Farmer villagers actually farm now.

Visual enhancing through shaders and resource packs that aid in the immersion of the pirate theme. These changes make the world feel more alive while staying faithful to Minecraft’s style.

Hundreds of customized structures are scattered throughout the world across lands and seas.

Overhauled enchanting added hundreds of new enchantments, new enchanting tables, and enchanting mechanics to extend enchanting beyond vanilla limits.

Armor and weapons in a new way. Anything from spears, kunai, and shields to muskets and cannons there are hundreds of new weapons. Armor has been expanded largely adding over a hundred new possibilities

The modpack raises the stakes with hardcore-inspired mechanics. Hardcore mode has been revamped completely adding the possibility to revive a downed teammate as long as you get there in time. If you don't make it in time though dont worry if a friend builds and powers a respawn ritual they have the power to bring you back. Also when you die in core survival you will lose a heart with every death, you can gain lost hearts back by eating enchanted golden apples. This is to nerf the "bed looting method" (placing beds at structures to keep respawning and looting) by adding "death penalties".

Large amount of new upgraded illagers are ready to pillage your ships loot and threaten your villages well being. Fight back against their new upgraded raids and warriors to reclaim lands.

Villagers have finally been made useful. Productive villagers adds jobs/tasks certain villagers can perform for a cost.  As well and cyclable trading, a currency overhaul, and guards to protect each village from raiders. There are also 50+ new villager professions offering hundreds of new trades.

  Recommended Specs

 Minimum (Playable)

  • RAM: 6 GB allocated
  • Total system RAM: 8–12 GB
  • CPU: Mid-range (Ryzen 5 / i5 equivalent)
  • GPU: Anything decent (GTX 1060 / RX 580 or similar)

 This will run, but expect:

  • Lower render distance
  • Occasional lag in heavy areas

 Recommended (Best Experience)

  • RAM: 8 GB allocated
  • Total system RAM: 16 GB
  • CPU: Strong single-core performance (Ryzen 5 5600 / i5-12400+)
  • GPU: GTX 1660 / RX 5600 XT or better

 This gives:

  • Smooth gameplay
  • Medium–high settings
  • Optional shaders (light ones)

High-End (Shaders + Max Settings)

  • RAM: 10–12 GB allocated
  • Total system RAM: 16–32 GB
  • GPU: RTX 3060+ / RX 6700 XT+
  • CPU: High clock speed preferred

Needed if you want:

  • Heavy shaders
  • High render distance
  • Big builds / lots of entities

⚠️ Important rule ⚠️

Never allocate more than ~50% of your total system RAM to Minecraft.

Quick recommendation based on common setups

  • 8 GB system RAM → allocate 5–6 GB
  • 16 GB system RAM → allocate 8 GB (perfect)
  • 32 GB system RAM → allocate 8–10 GB
