BigBoi Pack 2: Electric Boogaloo

Inspiration

This pack is for those who enjoy modded minecraft, but dislike the enormous size of the FTB packs, which take 4GB of ram to use and have gigantic JEI itemlists. This modpack is for those who love the quality of life improvements in modpacks, like Treecapitator, Dense Metals, Minimaps, Iron Chests, and many more. This modpack is for those who like some technology in minecraft, but don't want a modpack with bloating overlapping modlists like combining EnderIO, IC2, Thermal, Immersive Engineering, Mekanism, and Minefactory Reloaded. We keep it simple: Thermal Expansion is the main technology mod in this pack, additionally AE2, Buildcraft, and Project Red, provide a nice organisational technological experience. They are also the most comprehensive of the big tech mods. This modpack is for those who want a smooth modded minecraft experience.

Description

Whilst this modpack is in the Light category, it does have quite a few mods, but many of them are tiny quality of life mods, to provide a smooth modded minecraft experience. There are only a few big mods. You can run the client smoothly with only 2GB max ram. The small improvements include mods like Morpheus, the sleep vote system and SimpleHarvest, which allows you to right click to farm a crop. Along with improvements of your gameplay, we've added improvements to the game's performance, with many mods reducing the computational price of minecraft in many areas. To build on top of this solid foundation, it contains a few tech and magic mods for those who enjoy the technological progression. With AE2, Thermal Expansion, Project Red, and Buildcraft, you can automate your mining, crafting, storage, and many other tasks you can think of. Below is a list of the main mods as well as a link to the complete modlist document.

We like to keep it simple. Instead of the complex Corail Tombstone mod, we have the simple Tomb Many Graves mod. Instead of the expansive JourneyMap, we use the minimalistic Xaero's minimap and Xaero's Worldmap. Simply Jetpacks 2 provides 5 nice Thermal jetpacks. SimpleZoom, allows you to zoom in when pressing C, etc. Still we don't want people to miss out on the expansive mods of the larger packs like DireWolf20, so Thaumcraft is in the pack too, as well as the more adventurous Dimensional Doors and the retro Railcraft and Steve's carts. There's something for everybody, without repeating features or bloating the pack. The foundation of the pack improves everyone's basic minecraft experience, from there you choose what you want to do.
