Description
Blacksmith52's Big Modpack – NeoForge 1.21.1
Builds on what's already good.
This modpack is built to deepen Minecraft without overwhelming it—enhancing world generation, survival systems, and progression but not making a whole new game out of it. Ideal for players who enjoy exploration, structure, and thoughtful additions rather than chaos. Moreover, this pack is built to extend progression past the base game: there's more on the path to success and even more beyond that!
Expanded World Generation
With the full suite of YUNG's Better mods, the world feels alive. Dungeons, mineshafts, temples, nether fortresses, and ocean monuments have all been overhauled to provide more challenging, meaningful exploration. Combined with Dungeon Crawl and Moog's Structure packs, the whole map feels built for a good time.
Improved Tools for Survival
JourneyMap, Nature’s Compass, and Waystones make navigation more intentional without removing challenge. Sophisticated Backpacks and Just Enough Items (JEI) streamline inventory management and crafting, as many other modpacks have done.
Environmental and Atmospheric Enhancements
Sound Physics Remastered brings a more immersive audio profile to caves and structures. Mods like Clumps and Villager Names improve performance and add small but noticeable touches that polish the experience.
Aquatic and Wilderness Depth
Aquaculture 2 expands fishing and underwater environments, while The Lost Cities provides an optional, alternate world type—an abandoned urban wasteland overtaken by nature, for players who want a more desolate, thematic survival challenge.
The Update – by Blacksmith52
At the center of the pack is The Update, a custom mod this pack was built around. While it already adds a lot to the game, it complements the other mods in this pack by having a sort of vanilla+ glue. It's designed not to stand out, but to make the game feel more complete.
Compatibility and Stability
All mods are compatible with NeoForge 1.21.1 and supported by key utility libraries like Cristel Lib, Collective, and Balm to ensure smoother gameplay and better performance.
Blacksmith52’s Big Modpack doesn't try to rewrite Minecraft. It refines what’s already there, and adds what’s missing.
