About

Description

BlanketCraft is a focused alternative to large kitchen-sink modpacks. The intention is to be able to automate almost anything in the pack and give players as many tools as possible for building cool things, but also to encourage players to roam the world looking for rare materials for their machines and magic rituals.

The tech end of the modpack is thin, but robust. Refined Storage takes up most of the burden of logistics, Powah! ensures that players can supply interdimensional power to their RS systems (and wireless terminals), and Create handles pretty much everything else a person could need out of machines with a little bit of ingenuity.

The magic end includes a few mods that can be used to automate resource gathering and fill some unique use cases, as well as add more decorative blocks, plus a few fun toys to play with.

For exploration, players can expect to find all sorts of structures in the world, from ruins to abandoned houses to new caves and mineshafts. The oceans are more vibrant, and there's many more fish to find than in vanilla. Forests are easier to navigate and more aesthetically pleasing thanks to Dynamic Trees, and players can expect to find all manners of new mobs (some passive, some less so) scattered throughout the world. Comforts and Sophisticated Backpacks both ensure that players can spend days away from their bases without worrying about running out of inventory space or constant Phantom spawns.

Finally, the idea is that ultimately everything in the game is a challenge to overcome. Starting out you have nothing, and everything is dangerous. With time and effort, you can set up systems to obtain almost any resource in abundance, and danger simply ceases to be.
