Towns and Towers changes village generation to make visiting various villages more rewarding and immersive, and Serene Seasons incentivizes moving by adding real seasons that affect crop growth, preventing any permanent base from being fully effective year round.

Nomadic theming is brought about through various camping and packed travel related mods like Let's Do: Camping, which adds backpacks, sleeping bags, and tents, as well as wagons that make carrying vast amounts of supplies easier courtesy of the Trotting Wagons mod.
