BSR is a modpack designed to make minecraft compete against the modern day survival/pvp/looter shooter games we have now. It has a all too familiar feel to games like Rust, Day Z, Escape From Tarkov, and others alike. It takes just a pinch of all the best parts of those games, while still maintaining the vanilla feel, and a straightforward play style, as to not overwhelm the player as so many other modpacks can do. Currently only available for Forge Minecraft 1.16.5

Please note upon first loadup, you will have my preferred keybind and graphical settings. Change these to your liking, but note that if a keybind is unbound/blank, do not bind it, as it means you do not need it at all. Also, by default the inventory keybind is unbound as youll use the curious inventory keybind instead. If your playing on the singleplayer map thats included and are in creative, youll have to bind the default inventory keybind to access spawning items. 

You spawn on an island full of POI's to conquer and loot, all ranging in difficulty and profit. Theres a large safezone in the western center of the map. That is where you will find multiple traders to buy and sell loot from. This is where you will get weapons, gear, base building materials, special food, vehicles, and so much more. There is a full quest line from a specific trader in the safe zone, that if done, will take you to challenging, and eventually, really far away places... but the rewards are well worth it if you want to be the strongest player on the island. Remember this all happens in realtime on the official server, so the PVP will very much be alive and keep you entertained, be prepared to experience the most satisfying gunfights you could ever imagine in minecraft. Theres 3 different tiers of block you can build your base out of, which each have there own effectiveness when it comes to being raided. You can also claim land (at a high cost) to prevent anyone from building on it except you. Keep in mind though, your claimed land is not protected from explosives. The money you make on the island will primarily be from the loot bags scattered across the map, and heavily at POI's. These bags range in rarity, which can be identified by color. Grey is common, blue is uncommon, gold is rare, and green is quest items. These bags have custom loot tables and will drop a different item each time. They respawn every 20 minutes for common and quest, 28 for uncommon, and 45 for gold. Days are 45 minutes and Nights are 15. This gives you a small window to farm hostile mobs, which are more profitable. 

If you play on the official BSR server, you can expect bi-weekly wipes, with new content being added every other wipe. Player feedback is majorily what will improve this project, so if you discover any issues (official server issues only) please report them accordingly on the BSR discord. There will be video walkthroughs and tutorials in the discord if you have trouble getting a start on the server. If you see a new player, do your best to help them out. We want everyone to have a good time!
