About

Description

Botanic Adventures has two main focuses:

  • Botania - For tech, automation, and gear
  • Adventure - Many world generation and quests to go on

This makes the pack a smallish themed pack, rather than a collection of many huge mods.  (That said there is still a diverse set of smaller mods to experiment with)

Along the way you might find some "alien" tech Such as the Extra Utilities Ender Quarry, and Ender Thermic Pump. Unfortunately it has been found that most common generators cause disastrous interference with the mana producing flowers. (lets just say its a good thing the last people that tried such a mix were on the second moon).

Fortunately we do have some new mana to RF technology: The "mana fluxfield" to operate some of the alien machines without an earth shattering kaboom.

Servers, And Non CurseVoice users:

The Minecraftforum entry for this pack includes alternative download instructions for Linux users (and those who do not generally use curse voice)  This alternative method also includes the information for setting up a server.

--

This pack has no specific quest line and can be followed as you wish, however if you are new to Iguanas Tinker Tweaks, the following line of events may help.

* Create a flint shovel

* Find Aluminum and Copper gravel ore (alternatively make a flint pick, use it on stone until it upgrades to copper mining level and find aluminum/copper in the ground)

* Create a smeltery

* Create a copper pick and mine with it until its mining level increases

* Now you can get iron

At this point you have a choice!  You can start Botania and use a mana steel pick for all over world ores (and Terra Shatter will mine ardite/colbolt in this pack) Alternatively you can continue the Tinker's progression (Wood < Flint < Copper < Iron < Bronze < Obsidian < Ardite < Cobalt < Manyullyn)

Once you have the starting tools, well it time to follow the achievements to various mods (Botania, Erebus, and Twilight Forrest),  Try to take on one of the many battle towers you may find, Explore a Rouge like dungeon (or make one your home).  Find magical chalk and open a portal to the runic Dungeons, and last explore the Aether.  Thus plenty of activities to switch between when the work on your current base and builds get boring.

Please note flight from Extra Utilities and Runic Dungeons is deliberately disabled.  As are the RF Generators from Extra Utilities.  Really not much need for RF in the pack expect for a Ender Thermic Pump (easy to power with mana via the flux field if you decide to power things with lava.. remember a tinkers casting table can fill buckets)  And the Ender Quarry.. Here I recommend you use a Orechid automation if you are tired of hammering or shattering your mines manually, but if you want the challenge, try to fully power a quarry off of mana.

Licencing and Reuse Notes

I am personally perfectly fine with people using ideas (and or copying configs) from this modpack into your own creations, This includes directive packs.  This can be done without my permission as long as you have permission from all the mod creators in the medium of distribution.
