A lightweight modpack with many options to build, places to explore and variety of foes to slay. Explore the world with many abandoned ruins - deep underground dungeons. Use minecolonies to build large cities, with houses, schools, universities and libraries. A good use of tech mods will help you jump start into minecolonies.
Fly on a jetpack, aircrafts or a dragon, use guns/snipers to hunt.
