A vanilla Minecraft modpack focused on performance, polish, and intentional quality-of-life improvements.

By Design is a curated collection of Fabric mods that improves Minecraft while preserving its vanilla gameplay and identity.

What It Does

Performance Optimizes rendering, memory usage, chunk processing, lighting, networking, and other systems to provide smoother gameplay and better performance.

Polish Improves visual presentation, audio, animations, interfaces, and other small details while keeping Minecraft's existing style.

Quality of Life Adds small, practical improvements to interfaces, information, and everyday interactions without automating gameplay or replacing vanilla mechanics.

Design Philosophy

Every mod was chosen because it provides a specific improvement that fits the pack's goals. Many mods were tested and removed because they were redundant, inconsistent, unnecessary, or changed vanilla more than intended.

By Design intentionally avoids major gameplay overhauls, new progression systems, magic, technology, quests, and other additions that fundamentally change how Minecraft is played.

The goal is simple: make Minecraft run better, feel better, and stay Minecraft.
