Captain Ratax's Vanilla Modpack

A vanilla-friendly Fabric modpack built around the way I like to play Minecraft, whether in single-player or on vanilla and mostly vanilla multiplayer servers. It focuses on performance, visuals, ambience, building tools, navigation, quality of life, and a cleaner overall experience.

Built for Minecraft 26.2, it keeps the core gameplay and progression intact while making the game smoother, prettier, more immersive, and more convenient to play.

Improves FPS, chunk loading, memory usage, entity rendering, distant terrain generation, and overall game smoothness.

Visuals

Adds improved entity and first-person animations, dynamic lighting, particles, weather effects, entity models, armor details, shaders, distant terrain rendering, and extra visual polish without moving too far away from the vanilla style.

Building & Tools

Includes schematic support, accurate block placement, configurable HUD overlays, building information, inventory tools, shulker utilities, and WorldEdit support.

Quality of Life

Adds improved advancement and statistics screens, recipe browsing, inventory and bundle management, improved controls, map utilities, configurable interfaces, safer world deletion, additional HUD information, and other useful client-side conveniences.

Audio & Atmosphere

Enhances footsteps, environmental audio, interface sounds, music notifications, and other subtle atmospheric effects.

Multiplayer

Includes proximity voice chat, multiplayer utilities, player tracking features, social interactions, and support for playing on vanilla and mostly vanilla servers.

Most included features work client-side. Features such as Simple Voice Chat and synchronized PatPat interactions require compatible server-side support.
