Description

Carton SMP is a Create-and-QoL modpack for Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge), built for players who want to go deep into Create's contraption and automation systems without fighting the game to do it. The pack wraps one of the largest Create addon collections available — trains, airships, factories, power generation, and dozens of small tweak mods — around a fully guided FTB Quests progression, backed by modern storage, farming, and decoration options and a heavy stack of quality-of-life fixes.
At its heart is a hand-built questline of 1,450+ quests across 47 chapters, every one written with a title, subtitle, and a real how-to description — so nearly 500 mods never leave you guessing what to build next.

A Fully Guided Questline The flagship of the pack. 1,450+ quests in 47 custom chapters, each laid out by hand and written to actually teach the pack rather than just list items. Progress through the themed ages — Andesite → Brass → Steel → Electric — then branch into deep, system-by-system guides:
- Machines & power: Fluids & Steam, the Electric Age, the Nuclear Age (reactor multiblock walkthrough), Superheated processing, Diesel Generators ("Pump Dat Oil"), and the New Age.
- Transport & flight: Trains & Railways, Minecarts, Aeronautics, the Aircraft Hangar, Propulsion, and Drive-By-Wire remote control.
- War & defense: Cannons & Defense, plus a full Modern Warfare chapter (medium/rotary cannons, guided missiles, reactive armour).
- Craft & collect: Metalworks & Silent Gear metallurgy, Confectionery, the Create Kitchen, Aquatic Ambitions, Totem Factory, and more.
- Endgame: the Creative Vault — craft every Create creative item through one enormous progression web — alongside Grand Projects, Monster Hunting bounties, and Artifact & Relic collections.
Quests pay out through a 7-tier "Carton Crate" reward system (Common → Uncommon → Rare → Super Rare → Mythic → Legendary → Ultra), with loot scaled to each quest's difficulty.
Create & Its Ecosystem The backbone of the pack — Create itself plus a huge range of addons covering trains and railways (Railways, TFMG, Create Track Map), aeronautics and aircraft (Create Aeronautics, Immersive Aircraft), factory and logistics expansion (Create: Ultimate Factory, Create Contraption Terminals, pipes and package couriers), power generation (solar, nuclear, diesel generators, generators addon), and dozens of themed add-ons (Confectionery, Central Kitchen, Winery, Ironworks, Metalwork, Molten Vents, and more) that extend crafting and automation in new directions.
Storage & Logistics Sophisticated Storage and Sophisticated Backpacks (with Create integration), Functional Storage, Tom's Storage, and Curios-based inventory expansion keep base organization manageable even at modpack scale.
Farming & Food Farmer's Delight and its expansions, the full "Let's Do" series (Bakery, Brewery, Candlelight, Farm & Charm, Herbal Brews, Vinery), Aquaculture, and Farming for Blockheads round out food and agriculture.
Building & Decoration An extensive decoration layer — the MCW furniture/door/window/roof/bridge series, Chipped, Handcrafted, Macaw's-style building blocks, Supplementaries, and multiple furniture and lighting packs — gives builders enormous variety.
Exploration & Structures YUNG's suite (Better Caves, Better Mineshafts, Better Nether Fortresses, Bridges, Cave Biomes, Better End Island), Explorer's Compass, Nature's Compass, and additional structure mods (Dungeons and Taverns, ancient city/pillager outpost overhauls) add fresh things to find.
Quests & Teams FTB Quests, FTB Chunks, FTB Teams, and supporting FTB tooling provide the structured questline, land claiming, and shared progress for playing together.
Interface, Info & QoL JEI and EMI (with numerous EMI addons), Jade/JadeAddons, AppleSkin, Xaero's Minimap and World Map, Controlling, Quark, Carry On, Easy Anvils/Easy Magic, Trash Slot, and a long list of small convenience mods remove friction from everyday play. A custom FancyMenu theme carries a clean dark UI across the whole game — from the main menu to every options and world screen.
Performance Sodium, Lithium, FerriteCore, ModernFix, ImmediatelyFast, and related optimization mods keep the pack running smoothly despite its size.

Players who love Create's contraption-building and automation puzzles, want a long-term progression system to work through, and don't want to sacrifice performance or convenience to get there. The guided questline means you're never lost in a 500-mod pack — there's always a clear next goal, whether you're into trains, airships, factory chains, nuclear reactors, cannons, or just decorating a cozy base between builds. New to Create? The early chapters teach you from the ground up. A veteran? The endgame Creative Vault and Grand Projects will keep you busy for a very long time.

- Built on NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1.
- Nearly 500 mods with a hand-crafted 1,450-quest FTB Quests progression.
- A dedicated server is recommended given the pack's size, and allocating 6–8 GB of RAM is advised for a smooth singleplayer experience.
