Cave-Game Title

This modpack is based off of divergence, a mod made by zeldonDev.

  • Divergence backtracks the versions and rewrites the world generation to make it feel like a different experience than the game back then, while keeping the lonely, vacant feel it always seemed to posess.

The modpack is an extension to the original mod, adding:

  • Controller Support!
  • New Main Menu!
  • Discord Rich Presence!
  • Movable tile entities!
  • Dog patting!
  • New Atmospherics!
  • World Hosting!

Immersion:

  • The branding in-game is "Cave Game (The Release!)", because it is supposed to feel like the way minecraft would have gone if they had of just gotten almost to a full release version (hense the branding) and yet never fully finished. It is meant to play smoothly as if it was finished, yet some things were left vacant to invoke the idea of abandonment. Hense the pack name: Cave Game Archives

Gameplay:

  • The main gameplay is like that of minecraft, just slowed down to a point that resembles the older versions. Items that were once common like beds have to be fought for, and there are balances and tradeoffs for every item added and changed. The goal is to be interesting without feeling modded while adding things that are of benefit such as ziplines and canvases to paint upon.
