Challenging Magitech
No reviews yet
A challenging early-game with technology/magic mods to play with later.
Themed around heavy machinery, factories, and automation reminiscent of the Industrial Revolution.
Themed around magical elements, mythical creatures, and enchanted worlds, often inspired by fantasy literature and folklore.
Focuses on automation and resource processing through scientific and mechanical means, utilizing systems like electricity (RF/FE/etc), air pressure, or rotation.
Centers around fantasy elements such as spells, rituals, and magical energies, often involving personal empowerment and magical automation.
Centers on surviving in harsh conditions, managing resources, and fending off PvE threats.
Features a blend of magic and tech themes in a more Sci-Fi style, either in a "magic like tech" or "tech indistinguishable from magic" setting.
A project that is no longer receiving updates.
Introduces lifelike mechanics and detailed enhancements to create a more believable and engaging experience.

About
Description
No longer maintained, but should be in a working state.
A collection of mods designed to introduce a difficult early-game with:
- Temperature (affecting body and crops)
- Thirst
- Starting health of three (3) hearts
- Absolute darkness with Grues
- Diminishing nourishment
- Diablo-esque hostile mobs
Once players are settled down, they can then choose to pursue down a few different technology- or magic-based mods, go exploring for the many rogue- and Doom-like dungeons, or create magnificent creations with bits!
In a server environment, the following mods should be removed as they are client-side only (and fail to disable themselves in a server environment):
- Shield Hider
- Shoulder Surfing
- Sound Filters
Block Drops WILL slow down the initialisation of Minecraft, due to the massive calculations it does. If you don't mind not getting block drop information in JEI, then you can disable/remove it to speed up Minecraft starting up.
The following .jars are downloaded as a part of other mods, but are not on CurseForge:
ic2/EJML-core-0.26.jar(IndustrialCraft2)mp3spi-1.9.5-1.jar(Charset)vorbisspi-1.0.3-1.jar(Charset)
