THE PITCH

You wake in a world that remembers every wound it has ever suffered.

The ground beneath your feet has been carved, reshaped, and repurposed by forces older than memory. The air hums with arcane energies that twist flesh, warp stone, and whisper promises of power to those desperate enough to listen. The sky bleeds colors that shouldn't exist, and the depths below harbor things that have never seen the sun.

Clockwork and Claws is not a gentle world. It is a world that has been built to be brutal, beautiful, and utterly unforgiving.


THE WORLD YOU INHABIT

TERRAIN THAT HATES YOU

The land itself conspires against your survival. YUNG's Better Caves, Better Mineshafts, and Better Dungeons have transformed the underground from simple holes in the ground into labyrinthine nightmares. Ancient cities, flooded caverns, and twisting corridors stretch for thousands of blocks. Every torch you place is a temporary peace treaty with the darkness.

Terralith and Biomes O' Plenty ensure that the surface is no sanctuary. Lush forests give way to scorching wastelands. Floating islands drift above jagged peaks. The weather shifts violently—Serene Seasons brings punishing winters and blistering summers. Homeostatic watches your temperature and thirst with clinical precision. Your body can die from exposure before any monster touches you.

THE INHABITANTS

Alex's MobsMyths of the SeaWhisperwoods, and Spooki's Unique Mobs have filled this world with creatures that operate on their rules, not yours. They do not wait politely for you to be ready. They hunt. They patrol. They remember.

Zombie Awareness gives the undead a terrifying gift: senses. They can smell your blood from a distance. They investigate sounds. They gather in hordes. You are not the predator. You are prey that fights back.

Bosses of Mass Destruction and Souls like Bosses ensure that greatness is measured by what you have killed—and what has killed you. These are not pushovers. These are challenges.

THE STRUCTURES

When Dungeons AriseExplorifyTowns and TowersStructoryATi Structures, and Incendium have turned the overworld into a museum of danger. Fortresses, castles, towers, and ruins dot every biome. Some are abandoned. Some are inhabited. All are deadly.

You will find loot, yes. You will also find death.

Nullscape and Stellarity have remade the End into something alien and hostile. The End is no longer a victory lap. It is an escalation.


THE POWER YOU MUST CLAIM

THE ARTS

Electroblob's Wizardry Redux brings spellcasting that changes the battlefield. Fire, ice, lightning, healing, teleportation—magic exists, but it demands study, sacrifice, and the courage to point your staff at something that wants to eat your face.

The RPG Series (Wizards, Paladins & Priests, Rogues & Warriors, Archers, Gazebos, Jewelry) gives you class identity. You are not a shapeless survivor. You are a Wizard who bends reality. You are a Paladin who stands between the innocent and the abyss. You are a Rogue who slips through shadows and finds the soft spots in armor. You are an Archer who makes distance your strongest weapon.

Better Combat and Shield API ensure that every swing, every parry, every dodge matters. Combat is no longer a clicking contest. Combat is a dance—and the music is written in blood.

THE TECHNOLOGY

Applied Energistics 2 and Tech Reborn offer the promise of automation. ME networks, advanced machines, and the ability to store your entire existence in a digital space. But these systems require resources—resources that are guarded by the most dangerous creatures in the world.

Botania weaves nature and magic together. Flowers that create mana. Mana that creates miracles. You will learn to see the magic in the green.

THE DIVINE

Origins and its addons (Beasts Origins, Medieval Origins Revival) ask a simple question: What if you were never fully human?

Fly, swim, climb, wither—your origin changes everything. But every gift comes with a price. You are not just a survivor. You are a chosen one—for better or worse.


THE CONSTANT PRESSURE

RESOURCES ARE SCARCE

Primitive Start strips away the comforts of early-game security. You begin with nothing. You earn everything.

Mercenaries and ArtificersAdditional Jewelry, and Loot & Explore ensure that the best loot is never in easy places. The best gear is found in the darkest dungeons, behind the strongest bosses, in the most treacherous biomes.

YOUR BODY IS FALLIBLE

Player Corpse means you don't just respawn with your gear. You go back for it—or you start over.

ComfortsEnhanced Celestials, and Dynamic Surroundings remind you that you are a living thing. You need sleep. You need warmth. You need to breathe. The world doesn't care about your needs. You must care for yourself.

YOUR MIND IS TESTED

PerceptionImmersive UI, and Boss Checklist give you the information you need—if you pay attention. The world tells stories in its terrain, its creatures, its dungeons. You must read them.

The world of Clockwork and Claws is not meant to be survived.

It is meant to be conquered.

Your ultimate objective is this:

Stand before the Ender Dragon—not as it is, but as it has become. Through True Ending ~ Ender Dragon Overhaul, the dragon has been remade. It is not a boss. It is a goddess of annihilation. The End is not a dimension. It is a testing ground.

To defeat her, you must:

  • Master every RPG class and combine their strengths

  • Forge endgame gear from the most dangerous materials

  • Unlock the full potential of Applied Energistics 2 and Tech Reborn

  • Harness every spell from Electroblob's Wizardry Redux

  • Defeat every boss from Bosses of Mass Destruction, Souls like Bosses, and Infernal Expansion Redux

  • Explore every dimension and conquer every structure

  • Achieve perfection in your Origin, your class, and your gear

THIS IS NOT OPTIONAL

The default config of Clockwork and Claws is not balanced for casual play.

It is balanced for struggle.

Every mod has been tuned to its most challenging default state. The dungeons are deep. The bosses are brutal. The resources are rare. The creatures are deadly.

You will die.

You will lose everything.

You will start over.

And if you are worthy, if you are persistent, if you are unwilling to accept defeat—you will stand before the Ender Dragon with every tool, every spell, every class ability, and every scrap of knowledge you've bled for.

And you will win.
