Description

Cobblemon Field Survival - Modpack

Cobblemon Field Survival is a survival-focused Cobblemon modpack built around one idea:

Your Pokémon should feel essential to surviving the world, not just something you carry around for battles.

This modpack spine is "Cobblemon Field Survival" mod.

The pack slows down Minecraft’s early progression, makes exploration more dangerous and resource management more important, while giving Pokémon meaningful roles outside of combat.

Temperature, thirst, food spoilage, limited loot, harsher environments and more demanding exploration all push you to prepare before leaving home. In return, Pokémon can help you gather resources, travel, survive extreme conditions, support your team and gradually make the wilderness easier to handle.

A Water Pokémon can become the difference between running out of water and completing a long expedition. A Fire Pokémon can help you survive the cold and purify water. Mining, logging, farming, fishing, cooking, preservation, smithing and other field skills turn individual Pokémon into genuine progression milestones.

Survival built around Pokémon

The core of the pack is Cobblemon Field Survival, which expands Pokémon with field-focused systems including:

  • Field Skills and professions
  • Pokémon Hunger and Stamina
  • Favorite Foods
  • Friendship, personality and mastery progression
  • Active Pokémon abilities
  • Team synergies and support roles
  • Resource gathering and survival actions
  • FielDex field-stat interface
  • Field Command Wheel for managing your Pokémon in the world

Your team gradually becomes more capable as you explore, train and care for them.

Capturing a new Pokémon isn't only about building a stronger battle team—it may unlock an entirely new way to interact with the world.

A harsher Minecraft world

Minecraft progression has been deliberately slowed down.

The pack includes systems for:

  • Temperature and seasonal survival
  • Thirst
  • Food spoilage and preservation
  • More meaningful cooking
  • Scarcer structure loot
  • Reduced settlement resources
  • Harder early-game progression
  • Dangerous exploration
  • Large dungeons and redesigned structures
  • Expanded terrain and world generation

Finding a village or dungeon should help you survive, but it shouldn't instantly remove the need to gather, farm or explore.

Structure loot has therefore been rebalanced according to difficulty: easy and common locations provide much less free equipment and food, while dangerous late-game structures remain worth taking the risk.

Exploration should matter

The world is heavily expanded through improved terrain, caves, structures, ruins, dungeons and Cobblemon locations.

Rather than showering the player with rewards, exploration is intended to create decisions:

Do I have enough food?

Can I handle the temperature?

Do I have enough water?

Is my team rested and fed?

Which Pokémon should I bring?

Long journeys become expeditions rather than simple walks between map markers.

Legendary Pokémon are actually legendary

Multiple Cobblemon addons greatly expand the available Legendary, Mythical, Ultra Beast and special Pokémon roster.

Their natural spawning has been heavily rebalanced so installing several addons doesn't accidentally make rare Pokémon common.

Legendary and Mythical encounters are deliberately scarce, and overlapping spawn definitions have been reduced so seeing one in the wild should feel like a genuine event.

Built for slower progression

The goal isn't difficulty for the sake of difficulty.

The progression is meant to feel something like:

Survive → Explore → Find Pokémon → Build a capable team → Unlock new possibilities → Travel farther → Take greater risks

Early on, the player is vulnerable.

Later, a well-developed Pokémon team dramatically changes what you're capable of.

The world doesn't necessarily become less dangerous—you simply become much better prepared for it.

Cobblemon Field Survival is for players who want Cobblemon to feel less like Pokémon placed inside Minecraft and more like a full Pokémon wilderness-survival experience.
