Cobblemon SMP

A Vanilla+ Cobblemon experience built around exploration, progression, RPG-style character building, immersion, and multiplayer survival.

Cobblemon SMP keeps the familiar Minecraft survival experience at its core while expanding the world around Cobblemon with new biomes, seasons, wildlife, food, exploration, RPG classes, skill trees, improved combat, equipment progression, collectibles, and quality-of-life features.

The goal is to make the world feel larger, more alive, and more rewarding to explore while still feeling like Minecraft and keeping Cobblemon at the center of the experience.

Catch, train, battle, breed, and explore with Pokémon while still enjoying traditional Minecraft survival, building, farming, exploration, and progression.

Cobblemon remains the foundation of the pack. The rest of the modpack is designed to expand the gameplay around it rather than replace it.

🌍 Expanded World Generation

Explore a much more varied world with:

• New biomes throughout the Overworld
• Expanded caves
• More varied oceans
• Additional environments throughout the Nether
• Expanded exploration in the End
• Seasonal changes throughout the year

Everything is carefully selected to add more variety and immersion without overwhelming the core Minecraft experience.

⚔️ Improved Combat

Combat has been expanded with Better Combat, bringing smoother animations, improved weapon handling, and more dynamic melee combat.

Different weapons now feel more distinct, making combat more engaging whether you're exploring, fighting mobs, or building an RPG-focused character.

Additional compatibility also integrates this combat system with content from other mods in the pack.

🧙 RPG Classes & Playstyles

Cobblemon SMP now includes a much deeper RPG system with multiple combat styles and character builds.

Choose between playstyles including:

Different classes provide access to their own weapons, armor, abilities, spells, and equipment.

The previous MMO-style leveling system has been replaced with a more flexible skill tree-based progression system.

Instead of simply increasing individual skills through repetition, progression now focuses more on specialization and meaningful choices.

Build your character around different abilities, attributes, combat styles, and professions.

Cobblemon also has dedicated skill tree progression focused specifically on Pokémon-related gameplay.

Progress through activities involving:

This creates additional long-term progression alongside building your Pokémon team.

Cobblemon SMP is primarily designed around SMP gameplay.

The modpack can also be played entirely in singleplayer or on your own multiplayer server.

Content Philosophy

Cobblemon SMP is designed to build around Cobblemon, not replace or override it.

The modpack does not add Pokémon that are not already included in the official Cobblemon mod.

Adding and maintaining Pokémon is left to the Cobblemon developers themselves. This keeps the pack aligned with Cobblemon and reduces compatibility issues when the main mod changes its models, systems, balancing, or implementation.

Instead, Cobblemon SMP focuses on expanding the:

• Atmosphere
• Multiplayer experience

Official Server

Cobblemon SMP was originally created for the Cobblemon SMP server operated by THN — The Homestead Network.

The server follows the same Vanilla+ philosophy as the modpack and provides a community where players can experience the pack together.

The modpack is not locked to our server and can also be used in singleplayer, private multiplayer worlds, or on your own server.
