About
Description
Often I find myself wondering, when looking at the mod packs with a million plus downloads, who these packs are actually designed for. When I look at BetterMC, with it's 305 mods that all radically change the game, I wonder how many people have access to the high end rigs that you need to be able to handle that kind of load smoothly. Certainly my own computer couldn't. That's why I've curated this list of mods, designed to streamline the traditional Minecraft experience, with a few extras to spice things up along the way.
This pack contains 119 Mods:
51 of those mods are ripped directly from my favourite pack on Earth, the Fabulously Optimized pack. The intent here is of course to optimise the game and prepare it for the extra mods contained within.
For altered world generation, this pack contains the entire complement of YUNG's works, the BetterX Mods, Additional Structures, Oh The Biomes You'll Go, and Ecologics.
For farming, we have Croptopia and Croptopia's Chocolaterie.
For tech we have Applied Energistics2 and tech Reborn.
For general QoL we have Xaero's Minimap and Worldmap, and Jade.
For other dimensions we have Eden Ring, Deeper and Darker and the Twilight Forest.
There are other minor additions, but the thesis of this mod pack is to give the distinguished player a taste of the world of modding without having to fork out for the expensive GPU.
Compatibility issue: Ad Astra and Tech Reborn use the same recipe to create two different items. Smelting iron ingots in Ad Astra creates steel, while smelting iron ingots in tech Reborn creates refined iron ingots. In my experience, smelting iron in a vanilla furnace or blast furnace creates Ad Astra steel, so if you want to create refined iron you have to first craft a Tech Reborn iron furnace, in which smelting iron will give you refined iron.
