Create: Steam-Powered Stars

The Overview

This modpack is created to almost emulate Factorio... in that it is completely and utterly harder than it should be. While space may seem like a thing of the future, the power of steam can surely help us get there.

New recipes guide players through challenging, yet invigorating processes to automate the space race. Where will you settle among the steam-powered stars?

The Goal

Players will be expected to use many machines from the Create mod to automate the process of making multiple tiers of rockets. Upon completion of each tier, players are encouraged to explore planets to settle them and harvest the necessary resources for the next tier of rocketry. Special recipes enable players to fully use the machines and features provided by Create, as avoiding them creates a tedious and boring experience.

Players are also required to use PneumaticCraft, set up compression chambers, and use compressed iron to progress through rocket creation. Immersive Engineering is required for later tiers of rockets, requiring advanced components and techniques to produce them, fully immersing the player in the mod.

While having few rewards, FTB Quests has been included to add a roadmap to the stars, with quests serving to guide players through the process of each rocket, as well as the creation of auxiliary materials such as life support and rocket fuel.

Through the careful curation of many different, technically challenging mods and many custom recipe tweaks, this modpack is ready to blast off!

While not necessary, it is suggested that Optifine is used with this pack to improve performance.
