With loads of mods, varying from technological or magical or adventure, there is no way you would have a bad experience playing. We got all sort of mods to make sure you never run out of new things to do. Here are some examples:

Magic: Thaumcraft, Thaumic Horizons, ProjectE,

Tech: Applied Energistics 2, Tinkers Construct, RFtools,

Adventure: Veinminer, Journeymap, and for when the adventure doesn't go as planned: the Gravestone Mod.
