This creation of mine is in beta for a reason, I am the only person working on the project so updates may be infrequent since i'm not a professional, just a player with a passion. This version of the pack intended to be an expert edition progression modpack and therefore can be quite challenging to beginners due to the vast majority of recipes and mechanics having been changed from vanilla ones, if you need assistance feel free to ask around but remember to follow your JEI and if you think something is missing or find that a mechanic has been changed to be more difficult it is likely by design. THE QUESTBOOK IS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT, there's a decent bit of questing for you to do already but I am in the process of scripting the questbook with text.  The civilization you once knew has crumbled, the industrial wasteland left in its place festers with apocalyptic monsters and human terrors alike. Are you strong enough to forge a new world from the bent steel and cold ashes of the old? 

Festering industry is an expert edition hardcore apocalypse survival modpack complete with a gritty industrial feel, challenging new combat mechanics, in depth player management systems, quests, and 100s of custom crafting recipes and mechanics fine tuned for performance. The modpack is intended to mimic the energy of games like Project Zomboid and DayZ while providing a much more in depth and progressive tech system. All of the mods are hand picked and interwoven with each other to encourage you to use all of the resources available to you in order to succeed and escape this festering world once and for all, recreating civilisation in your image and living in a space stations sounds pretty good when the world is crawling with monsters doesn't it?

Now With Computers and Airships!!

Some of the main features:

• 100s of custom crafting recipes and quests  that combine mechanics from mods like Create, Tinkers construct, and Immersive Engineering to create a progressive retro industrial feel.  (5x5 and immersive crafting mechanics!!)
• In depth player management systems that add Thirst, Temperature, Diet control, and immersive visuals. Realtime mechanics like torch burnout, player revive, Air pollution, and seasons force you to be on your toes at all times. 
• A full rewrite of day one, say goodbye to punching trees and crafting non-tinker tools; flint is your friend. Custom recipes have been added to the Campfire to make it a bit more useful and allow you to process clay and grout to make a furnace and smeltery!
• MOBS ARE DEADLY, they spawn with armor and weapons, modifiers that can give them special abilities, and enhanced AI that allows them to hunt you down in hoards. When a blood moon rises you'll understand just what I mean.
• Decaying urban Cityscapes and rotting structures are offset by insane new biomes and world generation. Tons of new animals, farming and cooking mechanics complete with 100s of new foods make the world feel alive.
• A full Armory of Guns and weapons with custom crafting recipes for slaughtering your enemies, build a civilization amid the ashes of the old world. 
• Rule the earth and skies with airships, and the solar system with rockets and space stations! Control it all with complex computer systems!
