Mekanism - A mod that uses machines to process ore, create new items and make exciting new tools

Botania - This mod introduces magic in the form of plants

Twlight Forest - An alternate dimension that has a quest progression system, based in a fantasy setting 

Mine Colonies - A mod that allows NPC leveling, kingdom creation and automated colonies

Thermal Series - Adding new tools and machines to create power and help with normal Minecraft play

Immersive Engineering - Adds machines, new ores and oils which can be used to generate power to make things easier

Blood magic - Magic introduced in the form of ritual sacrifice, 

Applied Energistics - A mod which adds the ability to store and automate, instead of using chests and vanilla methods

Conquest reforged - adds over 1000 new blocks to build with which vastly expands the users creativity
