What is it?
A community revolving around a heavily modded minecraft server with it’s own custom modpack.

Who are you?
Someone mature with a passion for modded minecraft and tightly knit communities. You want to be a part of the community and help it grow to its full potential.

Who am I?
I am a software engineer, my favorite color is black and I like avocados. I have been playing minecraft since 1.1 alpha or so, and modded minecraft since 1.7.3 beta.

Why am I doing this?
Fun, nostalgia, wonder.

What is my commitment to this project?
I have no idea. This is a fun idea that I had and wish to see it to fruition. I want to make this as self-sustainable as possible so if the inevitable happens where I (or any other core members of the community) get bored and leave forever (or hopefully just a while), the community can survive anyway.

How is this sustainable?
I own a very high end server (16 cores, 64gb ram) connected to a gigabit network. Besides energy and internet bills there would be no hosting fees. With enough initial attention to the reliability of the minecraft server (regular backups, restarts, etc) it should be self sustainable.

What is expected of you?
First and foremost, have fun! Everyone is expected to have a sense of ownership of this community, that is the only way we will be able to grow it into its full potential. This means bringing concerns to light, voicing your opinions and being someone who cares in general.

What is the theme of the modpack?
The modpack is based on whatever we want. Currently the initial version of the modpack will contain over 300 mods containing many exploration, magic and difficulty based mods. It is heavily biased towards industrialization and automation but as time goes by I expect mods to be added and removed, in order to reach a general consensus.

Interesting initial modpack features/decisions:

• Refined Storage + AE2

• Many difficulty increasing mods like infernal mobs, better AI, hardcore darkness, etc. (Do not underestimate the difficult of dealing with mobs, its tough)

• Many occipied structures in the world from techguns, ancient warfare, mo' villages, etc.

• TechReborn + NuclearCraft over GregTech

• Multiple immersion mods such as ambient sounds, sound filters, etc.

• /sethome, /home and /spawn commands for quick access
