Infection

 with two dangerous virus's roaming the overworld being the zombie and mycelieam infections both very dangerous the zombie may be cured by a golden apple but the mycelieam infection is uncureable

if your playing multiplayer you can use the simple vioce chat mod and simple radios to communicate with friends. 

and to top things off the lost cities mod making the world into a post apocalyptic city instead of a blank overworld
